Ok if you don't mind cannabis and rowdy crowds
We are a family of four - my husband and I, and our two teenage daughters (14 and 17). We have traveled all over the world and rented many vacation rentals. The unit itself was contemporary and kind of a fun layout. There was absolutely nothing left from previous tenants, unlike other properties we have stayed at, but that is a bonus that should not necessarily be expected. The pool area was as photographed in the ad and the unit presented as photographed, except for one glaring omission.... The upper loft area has a metal railing to provide safety from falling to the lower levels, but there is about an 18 inch by 4 foot cutout in the floor to provide headroom for the stairwell that is NOT protected by the railing. It is a hole in the floor and one could easily fall through to the lower stairs at night or if not paying attention. Scary to think of renting this unit to anyone with children... My teenage daughter placed the ironing board over the hole in the floor to prevent her from accidentally falling through if she was not paying attention when walking to her sofabed. Serious hazard that needs adddressing before someone seriously injures themselves. In addition. during our five day stay, the other tenants were a concern to our family. There was a strong smell of cannabis in the hallways so that it flowed into our unit anytime the door opened - no big deal. There was a family of about 13 individuals who rented one unit, with at least 6 children who screamed and took over the pool area for hours - kind of irritating as we couldn't really sit out on the patio or use the pool. Lastly, there was a group of young men from London who were swearing loudly, drinking heavily, and when I asked them "who is getting married?" one replied that it was a 21 birthday celebration weekend... - I am struggling to understand why they would be allowed to rent a single unit in a complex with four units.... They came home from the bar at about 1 am for two nights in a row. In short, this set of units is being rented to whoever pays the fee and there does not seem to be any consideration for who else may be housed in the other units. Families and people who want a reasonably mellow getaway from the crowds of Barcelona take heed. This unit has a major safety flaw and the group of units mean you are sharing a small outdoor/pool space with whoever the company puts in the other units. Sorry for the harsh review, but I would have appreciated knowing.....
