Little Brook Cottage Mount Desert Island “Pet Friendly”

The cottage is studio-style with a full kitchen and bath. Decorated with a classic theme. The space feels like being inside a little fairytale house. The cottage is behind the main house on the property.

A short car ride from unlimited walking trails. Just up the road from the Bass Harbor light house, and a short ride to Bar Harbor.

Away from the Bar Harbor crowds but close enough to discover everything our island has to offer.

Discover Mount Desert Island from your own, quiet suite. Free buses (the Island Explorer), ferries across to the "quiet side of Acadia" - Schoodic Point, festivals, and more.

Come home after a day of sightseeing or hiking to your cozy suite and relax among the beautiful landscape.

You'll love your vacation at Little Brook Cottage.

1 Queen bed and 1 foldout twin bed.
Dog friendly for 50 pounds and under.
Pack and Play available if needed for child.

The Twin foldout bed is great for child, but 3 adults can fit! Great, place hot shower and bed! Best suited for 2 adults plenty of room. The square footage is 300 square feet. Keep in mind it’s a studio and small. Perfect for 2 people and 1 small guest!
Keep in mind that it’s small but perfect for 2 people very cozy. Also, we are not set up for handicap access.



Enjoy the trails of Wonderland, Ships Harbor and Bass Harbor lighthouse 5 mins away!

Come back and enjoy your very own fire pit! Sit under the stars! Gas Grill and Lobster pot also included.

It was a great location, beautifully decorated cottage. The stargazing experience was wonderful which we would have enjoyed more if we were allowed to have a fire. There are great cafes and trails nearby. I would recommend this place. Only feedback is on two things, communication. We didn't hear back on initial messages at all but were able to get in touch as we were leaving the town. Second would be to provide coffee filters and unexpired coffee. It's a small touch that provides such a great experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. It's the perfect size for two people and offers a peaceful escape on the quieter side of the island. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main park visitor center/Cadillac Mountain ( 30 min drive) and several great area hiking trails. We also enjoyed the wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby. The cabin was clean, and we appreciated that the kitchen and cabin was already stocked with essentials. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, too. Contact with host was a bit delayed but did answer our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Small, cozy, had everything we needed. Very quiet with lovely grounds. Hostess lived on the property and was quick to answer questions and remedy a minor issue that came up. Modern bathroom and fully stocked kitchen made this tiny cottage feel like home

Quiet, Country Cottage Close to Trailheads

We enjoyed our stay in this quaint, cozy cottage in a sleepy town close to several Acadia trailheads. Our host was easy to communicate with and ensured our stay was comfortable.

Perfect Quiet Space

I loved this location away from all of the busyness of Bar Harbor. The cottage had everything I needed for cooking there, and after a few nights on the road with questionable showers, the heat and pressure of the shower were amazing!

Cute Homey Cottage

This was this cutest little homey cottage. It was very clean, had everything we needed and nicely decorated. It was perfectly sized for two people. We had the best stay!

Not a quiet little cottage

Property owner was not present at check in. I messaged him for arrival and entry instructions and only received address and was told there was a lock box on the door. Upon arrival, we eventually discovered the door was unlocked with a lock box on the handle. Less than 5 feet from our bed was a dehumidifier that had instructions to empty when full…VERY LOUD. We didn’t bring in our luggage as everything smelled like a damp basement. There was a binder on the table with a list of instructions. If you don’t follow the instructions on the remote for heat/air, you will be charged $100 for a repair person to come out to fix. Also, for EVERY 15 minutes beyond your 10am check out time, you will be charged $50. Rules posted everywhere…kitchen, bathroom,etc. We left at 7:30 am. This was not the place for us!

Cozy base for exploring

The cottages easily accommodated our family group of five adults and three children. The beds were comfortable, and the well-appointed kitchen enabled us to cook meals. There were many thoughtful decorative details to boot.
