We had a lovely three night stay at Chillax Resort. Staff were welcoming and friendly, carrying our bags inside upon arrival and providing a welcome drink and cold towel. The room was large and spacious (we were in a premier room with jetted tub). The room was clean upon arrival but had not been cleaned deeply - there was a bottle cap on the floor from previous occupants, dust in corners etc. Housekeeping make the bed and provide fresh towels daily. Expedia states the hotel has a laundry service but this is not the case - there are plenty of places nearby that to laundry however we went to ‘Aims Wash’ which was fab! The breakfast was very average, we tried it once and then chose to go elsewhere on subsequent mornings. We had food by the pool two days in a row which was much tastier! We used the gym and pool during our stay - both of which were fine but could do with modernising and refurb. There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby and halls - smelt like drains, we were rarely in these areas so it did not cause a huge issue. We were able to book a hotel transfer for our departure at the hotel - the man arranging this was really lovely! You can use the Grab app for taxis but we had multiple occasions when the driver could not find the entrance to the hotel to collect us and so cancelled. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall, despite the hotel feeling somewhat dated and in need of a a refresh, I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
