    When guests visit the Cowboy Capital of the World, two things consistently top their wish list: walkable access to Bandera’s nightlife and shopping, and time on the Medina River. With that in mind, 11th Street River House delivers both.



    This family- and pet-friendly river home is located just a short walk from the iconic 11th Street Cowboy Bar, downtown shops, restaurants, and live music. At the same time, a brief walk across a scenic meadow brings you to the swimming, tubing, kayaking, and fishing fun of the Medina River — a rare combination of in-town convenience and river access.



    The fenced backyard is ideal for kids and pets, with a fire pit surrounded by outdoor seating for evening gatherings and stargazing. A large picnic table and charcoal grill/smoker make outdoor meals easy, while the screened and shaded back porch offers rocking chairs and decorative string lights for relaxed mornings and cozy evenings.



    Inside, the home is bright and comfortable, with central air conditioning, ceiling fans, and a spacious living area featuring a large-screen Roku-ready TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances, cookware, and table service for eight, with a dining area conveniently nearby. Wi-Fi is available throughout the home, and family extras like baby toys, a pack-n-play, and highchairs are provided.



    Sleeping arrangements include three bedrooms and six beds, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. The primary bedroom features a king bed and en-suite bathroom with a roomy shower. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, while the third bedroom includes two trundle beds (four twin beds total), making it perfect for kids or additional guests. Fresh bed and bath linens are provided, and a second full bathroom features a shower/tub combination highlighted by a classic clawfoot tub. A walk-in laundry room adds extra convenience for longer stays.



    River access involves steps that can be steep, and a signed release of liability is required prior to arrival. Hill Country river levels vary depending on rainfall.

Perfect Location! Easy walking to multiple restaurants and shops. The cozy home has everything you canthink of to make your stay special and relaxing. We will definitely stay here every time we visit Bandera!

Very convenient! Nice bedrooms and very clean. It’s a little noisy at night due to the market across the street equipment and loading dock activity.

Wonderful weekend escape!

We booked this river home last minute and couldn’t have been more thrilled. Beautiful home. Great location. Close to grocery and Bandera attractions. Short drive to some great hiking. Appreciated the backyard space. Would stay again.

Wonderful Home in the Heart of the City

We greatly enjoyed our stay in the 11th Street River House. The house was immaculate and had a great layout, so you can tell the owners take a lot of pride in their property. The river access was a little further of a walk than we expected, but the location was excellent. All of the places we wanted to go to were within and walking distance. We had a great stay and will definitely be coming back!

Thoughtful touches for stay away from home

The home was perfect and exactly what was expected. The kitchen included everything needed. The living and dining rooms were comfortable. Nice touches like soft blankets for the unexpected cold snap and wonderful towels. We had a great time. Thank you - Barbara

Cute house with river access

We enjoyed the house and property greatly. As expected, the river was down, but it was still a lovely scene in the back of the property and we took advantage of walking around and enjoying the outdoors. The house is adorable, and well equipped. The only minor thing to be aware of is the noise from the grocery store coolers; you get used to it, but it's a constant hum like a lawn mower. Overall, highly recommend this location for adults and families with older kids!

Bandera stay

Comfortable house. It did not have k-cup as advertised and the yard needed to be cut. We really weren't there except to sleep and clean up. Everything overall was good. Lots of different levels to negotiate getting in and out of the house. Not old people friendly.

11th Street House Bandera Texas

House was comfortable for our small group. Older home but well updated. Challenging route to the river via a long wood staircase and some distance across mildly grown up bottom land. The Medina is one of the prettiest rivers in Texas. Not at it’s best during this long dry period we’re having. The host was very responsive and the house was very clean. The area pleasantly surprised us with two very interesting museums, fun shops and solid small town Texas restaurants. 15 minutes to Medina,Tx for apple cinnamon soft serve at Love’s Apple Store and about 20 minutes to Camp Verde for a nice restaurant/store and beautiful grounds to enjoy. Our trip was a success!

Pros & Cons

The house itself was fine, nothing special but adequate for our two-night stay. Though compact, the kitchen was pretty well appointed and we were able to make our Thanksgiving side dishes. Be advised there is no dishwasher. Also, decent coffee mugs are needed! When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. Spencer was very apologetic and got a couple over later that evening to do a quick cleaning. The house was better but not spotless. Spencer comped us one night due to the cleaning schedule mix-up, which was much appreciated. The street is super noisy—loud motor noises from the grocery across the street and lots of motorcycles. That could be a problem for fussy sleepers and napping babies. As advertised, the back yard has a nice fire pit area, seating, long table, and dog proof fence. With the river access, I can see the house being a fun place during warm weather. I would give the house 4 stars but for it not being cleaned prior to our arrival.
