"After a week on a river boat, we booked a night at Hartley House and thoroughly enjoyed it. "We were a bit concerned when we arrived. The receptionist was not terribly friendly nor welcoming. We wondered if we were at the wrong place. We deposited our bags in the room and headed to the dining room. We were greeted by Haley, who made up for the initial greeting we received. She was lovely and so friendly. "We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. "We were very happy with our room. The bed was so comfortable , the layout was great. I loved that they had 2 chairs and a table in between to watch tv as well as have a tea and coffee with a little biscuit .Free bottled water .
