"Great location with a beautiful mountain view. The unit is a bit outdated, but the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of supplies. The check-in process was very smooth, and the staff was friendly — we even received our apartment earlier than expected, which was a nice bonus.
What I didn’t like about this rental concept is that guests are required to make the beds, take out the trash, and leave all utensils in the dishwasher before leaving. However, for those who enjoy this style of stay and...

"Frequently stay in the Fairplay area for work and the Hand hotel has been by far the most enjoyable place to stay. The other option (Riverside Inn) has always been extremely noisy and the staff don't seem to care much about customer concerns. The Hand hotel staff were excellent and it was convenient having the cafe down-stairs... just be aware it isn't open every morning, but there are other options close by. It is a historic building so keep that in mind when booking."

"They had one hot tub that was operational, so we didnt use that amenity since there were other people in there. The room was very small but good enough for us as we were only staying for one night on the road to LA. Front desk staff were very personable and gave us a great tip on where to eat that evening. "

"Overall stay was good and customer service was good It was close to everything and views were good . The only thing that bothered me was that no one came in to clean our sheets or give us new towels or toilet paper all 4 nights we were there. We had to go to the front desk or find house keeping cleaning other rooms just not ours."

"Booked this last minute and was pleased with the choice. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. Check in was smooth. Lobby area well appointed - have a couple of unique features including an "oxygen bar" to help with the altitude (at a very reasonable price) and a very cool water/beverage station (for free) as well. Nice food & beverage options along with a game room with a pool table, etc. The resort is located "lakeside" - you walk out back and it's lovely. We enjoyed a good meal...
