Our mid-century modern 1-bedroom, 768 sq. ft. cabin, plus a 10x10 bunkhouse, provides serene views of Putman Lake and abundant access to natural areas and recreational opportunities. Baldwin, in Northern Michigan, is a sought-after vacation destination offering activities such as canoeing, fishing, hunting, ATV riding, and snowmobiling. Lake County boasts 156 lakes, 46 trout streams, four major rivers, over 310 miles of ORV & ATV trails, and more than 900 miles of groomed connecting snowmobile trails. The nearby Pere Marquette River is recognized as one of America's Blue Ribbon fisheries. Baldwin is conveniently located, just 35 minutes from Ludington on Lake Michigan and 90 minutes south of Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

Perfect Little Getaway

I chose this location for its serene location, privacy, and comfortable amenities. This house and mini house was exactly what my group and I needed to relax and just be surrounded by nature. Checkin was a breeze, the beds were extremely comfortable and cozy and the kitchen came stocked with everything we needed for cooking. The complimentary bourbon was top notch. Highly recommended for couples, friend groups, and more.

Disappointing!!

Cute little place with a decent lake view. Home was very dirty. Stove top and front, refrigerator front, sliding door glass were all dirty. Dead bugs all over. The worst was the large floor rugs and dining chairs. They were utterly filthy!! We had to contact the mgmt company due to no water in the shower. Shower and sink barely put out any water. We stayed but mostly stayed outside. Disappointed that we didn’t receive any money back. I will not use this company again.

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed a quiet stay with family. The kitchen had the supplies we needed to cook family meals. The kids enjoyed time on the water fishing and with the little boats.

Okay, check the location.

Good: Owner was highly communicative and helpful. Bunk house was great for the kids, fire pit good, nice setting on the lake. Linens were wonderful, beds were comfortable. Dock was freshly built. Room for improvement: House smelled musty, older, not exactly dirty but many of the items in the house were just older and not cleanable (windows/doors/sinks/flooring). The lake was mucky so if you are planning on swimming I'm not sure its a great option. I'm not a fisher but it seemed like pretty decent fishing (other ppl were catching bass etc). I was hopeful we could have swam but ended up going to Ludington to the beach. Make sure to look up things to do in Baldwin if you plan on staying close. Most of the recommedations by the house management were things in Traverse City (1.25 hrs north).

Awesome little lake and cottage

Super clean, plenty of parking, nice little lake, quiet area. Close enough to town to get anything you may need, yet tranquil setting. Stayed during the winter, but would love to come back during the summer months.

Amazing hospitality!! Even down to the small things!

This was a fabulous trip!! Everything was thought of by Troy, a very cute and quaint place to stay. The views are amazing. We found some local fishing spots that made my teenager very happy!! The owner was very responsive to questions and left little notes of where and how to work things!! We are definitely going back in the spring!! Thank you Troy for everything!! Our trip was amazing!!
