"I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and respectful, making check-in and the entire stay smooth. The hostel was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with a nice social atmosphere. The location is excellent, close to downtown, public transport, and many attractions. Overall, a great value for money and a perfect place for solo travelers. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

We only stayed one night, so there was not much of a chance to use all amenities; however there is a coffee bar that sells starbuck drinks located on the same level as the hotel lobby, and a Kneads bakery where they serve gluten free options"

"The hotel was booked with the name Sentenel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, apparently it was sold and name changed to the Margot Gaslamp Quarter. Caused a lot of confusion, especially when using GPS to locate the hotel. I finally just went in and that is when I was told there was a name change after recently being bought by the Hilton. Should jave a sign which stated formerly the Sentenel, there were 2 calls during my check in where the caller had same issue. When looking on the website it said...

We stayed to attend a conference in the convention center for 3 nights. Living room, kitchen and bedroom has ample space and up-to-date appliances and furniture. Pricing is affordable compared to the downtown hotels. You will love it here."

My partner and I both got the beau-rito and we literally can’t stop talking about it lol. Would I recommend? Absolutely. "Stayed here for 4 nights and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I understand Moxy is meant to be more casual and compact, but the rooms felt old and not well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable, there was barely any closet or storage space, and no complimentary water in the room. Housekeeping only cleaned the room once during my entire stay, and I had to call and request it myself. Overall, the hotel feels overdue for updates and better service standards."

"The room we had was on the freeway side and the noise can be heard inside the room with the windows completely shut day and night. Not a good thing for a light sleeper like me. Also the parking entrance and connectors from level to the next level is so narrow that I was very close to scraping the walls several times with a medium sized sedan. On a positive note, the location is great."
