"The home and surrounding property were perfect for our stay in the mountains of North Carolina. The owners prepared a bouquet of fresh flowers and cookies for us upon our arrival, which was a very nice surprise hurricane Helene took out the stairs leading down to the creek, which made it a little more difficult than we anticipated to get down to the creek, but we found many other things to do, and there are many places in the area where you can access the water. I would highly recommend this...

"This is our 4th time booking with Melissa - our first here at Linville. This cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated and maintained. Several things to do in the area. Pet friendly but very clean home. The area seems very pet friendly too. Melissa was very responsive and helpful from checking to check out. Highly recommend! "

"For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We...

"We booked this house for our party of 12 including adults, teenagers, and young children. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful decor, serene location, proximity to activities, and included amenities. The kids loved the arcade game and pool table while the adults were grateful for the well stocked kitchen. When several problems popped up (electrical upstairs and missing bedding for the rollaway bed,) the call center arranged for a quick response. Deer were spotted around the cabin and the fire pits...

"This was such a treat for my little family. Located way up high in the mountains and deer everywhere. Super cozy and clean!!! Loved being able to have a fire for smores. Gary was super responsive. Quite a gem!!! "

"Everything was as described. Beautiful views, beautiful house. All of your needs were met and more. We didnt have any issues, but I know if we did, Karen wouldve been rigjt there for us. Those stairs are no joke, though. If youre in shape, you wont have any issues. If youre older and not in shape, those stairs will kick your butt, lol. We very much enjoyed our stay and exploring the area around. "

"Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect). We grilled and shared stories and good laughs on the back deck. The living room was perfect for all of us to catch up after a day of activities and share our adventures. "If you’re looking for seclusion but still be close to civilization, this was it. I was by myself taking a few days away from the family for a reset and it was fabulous. Very little traffic noise, actually there was hardly any. And there were fireflies at night. It was great"

"Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The owners are wonderful, even calling me a couple days before to let me know about an HVAC issue and our options surrounding that. The cabin was very clean and updated and had everything we needed and more. All of the furniture was comfortable and well maintained.
