"This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. In fact we were blown away by everything. Friendly staff on reception, lovely decor, our room on the first floor was nicely decorated, and the breakfast was delicious. There is loads of parking. We'd definitely stay here again. Wish more hotels were like this one!!!"Dawn

"What a lovely stay! Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and a super comfortable bed!
The staff were all so friendly, happy and helpful, making us feel really welcome. The cosy, atmospheric bar and dining area was a lovely place to spend the evening, with fantastic food and a beautiful selection of wines and whiskies.
Breakfast was equally delicious, with the Eggs Benedict an absolute must!
A really lovely place to stay, full of character and warmth. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and...Katrina

"Over all happy with the stay. It's clean and tidy close to every thing. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Large towls were missing and the hair dryer but were bought to the room as soon as we asked for them. Excellent service. Two down falls. The shower. Large people might struggle to get in the shower as the door hing is 1/5 along the door so the door when opened doesn't hit the toilet. Second issue the road noise. "The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. Then once you are in it smelled like a teenage boys room, sweat and lynx. The carpet was badly worn and peeling off the floor, the cheap divan base was broken so the mattress was either springy or wavy, didn't dare actually look at the mattress... Cobwebs around the window show how long since that was cleaned and general bits of wallpaper coming off the...Stuart

"It was a very windy day which exposed the lack of insulation and how the cold air got in.
The room was freezing, the heating cam on but for too short a time the room was already freezing and did not warm up. I had an air fan and an oil radiator on but the amount of cold air getting in did not mean the room could ever get cosy.
Which is a shame as the views were lovely and the bed was comfortable.
The shower was not very good it kept spitting very hot water that was too hot and temperature...Shane

"Good large clean airy room, comfy pillows, bed bit uncomfortable due to having 2 single bed bases so felt the wood in the middle so couldnt sleep next to my fiance, would benefit with a mattress topper, supplied tea coffee etc and restocked when asked, we had a great stay."Sharon

"Overall it was fine but I very expensive for what we actually got. The room was fine but small and the bed was not the best apart from that it was fine. I paid £140 for the night and breakfast which was continental was another £25 for the two of us. Very expensive for a room above a pub."Steve

"Queen room, comfortable bed with views at the back of the property, no ventilation due no opening windows, dusty fun, no space to put luggages or hooks to hang clothes at the back of the main door. Small wardrobe with 5 hungers.
Spacious bathroom but run down, update needed.
