River Cabin on the Pine River- Adult only

Cabin #2 - Newly renovated in 2021, this cozy cabin is steps away from the relaxing waterfront. Perfect for kayaks and canoes. Large deck with a propane grill. The river flows into Norway Lake. There is a swimming area in the river that has a nice sandy bottom and at most is around 4ft deep. It is an excellent area to lounge on a floaty or play water games. In the photos is resident dog, Nora.

Quiet setting only minutes from the city of Pine River and amenities. Nearby attractions include: 1 mile from the Paul Bunyan Trail for biking in summer and snowmobiling in winter, 2 miles from Bluegrass Festival, 2 miles from Junkathon, 14 miles from Spider Lake ATV trails, 25 miles from Northern Lights Casino and Leech Lake. Numerous lakes nearby as well.

Quit and off the grid

I was in town for the weekend in between some independent contracting jobs. The cabins meet all the basic needs, are quiet, and come with the hosts sweet dogs to say hello.

Great place to stay

Went there for my 10 year anniversary with my girlfriend. It was just as listed. Great little cabin right on the river. Was an amazing weekend getaway with great views and just plain relaxing. Easy to take the kayaks out onto the river also. The owners were also really friendly and cool people. The cabin was as clean as I would expect a cabin. Had everything we needed as well. Overall it was a great place to stay and we will most likely stay there again.

Fall fishing trip

I absolutely loved this place. The location is great, quiet, peaceful and Pine river is beautiful. The cabin is awesome, it has everything you need for a memorable vacation getaway.

Pine River Getaway

Cabin was comfortable and well appointed. Host was helpful and accommodating. Area was fun and still had some Fall colors even though it was late in the season. My boyfriend and I both said it was a great place to relax and have fun and we will definitely come back.

Review

Was a great first time VRBO experience. Area is beautiful, and the owners are very nice and responsive. One thing that kinda turned us off tho was how loud the furnace was. Woke up fairly often bc of it. But overall was a lot of fun and would recommend.

Quiet Paradise

Nestled in the pines along the river, the cabin was wonderful. The view was great. The cabin was perfect for our needs. Close to town for easy access to great dining and sight-seeing. The hosts were top-notch, friendly, and accessible. Nora, the family dog was so sweet. All in all, a really great place! I would recommend it and i will go back.

TOTALLY LOVED IT!!

Chad, Chester & I had the best time! Wish we could have stayed longer! 😁 A very calm, quiet and off the beaten path type of place. Erik & Becky were awesome hosts & very accomodating. We will definitely be back! 🥰❤️

kayaking haven

All of our activities revolved around kayaking. The first afternoon/evening we kayaked to Pine River City (downstream - less than 1 hour; coming back - approx 1 hour); had a wonderful dinner and kayaked back. The next day we did a light kayak in the morning upstream followed by going back to Pine River City to hike the Paul Bunyan Trail. Never once did we use our car the entire time there. Perfect for us!

Practical review

This place met our needs - Close to family, A/C, wifi, within our budget and dog friendly. The owners responded quickly to our initial questions prior to booking. On check in day we used Google Maps to take us to the address. Don't know what happened but it took us to the middle of nowhere in the woods and not the location. Thankfully there was cell reception to call the owner and get directions to the cabin. The address was right, but where Maps took us was not to the place. Bathroom pretty clean, except some stuff on the sink. Okay just not 100%. We found a number of spiders the first night and do wish that there were some sticky traps to catch them. We brought extra towels and our own pillows and would 100% recommend others to do the same. They provide some but we prefer our own and some extra towels are certainly helpful. The wifi was reliable and no issues there. The A/C window unit kept us cool but it was swampy and kind of stale-ish air in the cabin by the end of the week. One of the last nights we noticed the oven/stove was warm like it was on and giving off heat but we didn't use it once during our stay. Not sure about that. Interactions with other guests and the owners were always good. The owners did some kind of bug bomb and so the immediate area outside the cabin was relatively free of bugs which is huge in the summer months in MN. We had privacy and could come and go as we pleased. Overall good stay and would recommend to others with similar needs.

The property was great. Right on the lake, very peaceful when I was there. Cabin had lots of room and great little decorations. Although, I didn't use, kitchen seemed well equipped. Wifi worked great and was welcomed as my cell service was poor in the area (which I sort of expected).

Amazing Getaway

This cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. The setting is magnificent and the hosts were phenomenal. It was really nice to have access the the kayaks on the property, which we promptly took advantage of after our arrival. The deck and dock are both lovely places to sit and enjoy nature. Our short stay was great and we will be back!!! Thanks again!!
