"Lovely quiet room cold outside but room was nice and warm and cosy perfect for us as a stopover. The room and en-suite bathroom was clean and the tea/coffee/water was nice. TV and WiFi all good. Breakfast in the bar was good would highly recommend. "

When we arrived, we were happy to hear that we got a free upgrade to a castle suite. We stayed in Catherine Howard room which was huge, had a four poster bed and a rolled bath. There were lots of complimentary things such as sloe gin, all sorts of teas and coffees, cosmetics in the bathroom, room slippers. The gardens were pretty and well maintained. Great...

"We were upgraded to the Cuckoo suite which was lovely overlooking the lit gardens. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Close breakfast menu was also very good with lots of choice, we had Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine which were very nice."
