Dank der dicken Natursteinmauern ist es im Haus auch bei 30°C Außentemperatur angenehm kühl. Die Küche lädt zum Kochen ein. Beste Zutaten gibt es im ca. 5 km entfernten Aunac sur Charente bei einem kleinem Lebensmittelgeschäft mit sehr freundlichen Inhabern, einem lokalen Fleischer gleich nebenan, sowie in einer kleinen feinen Bäckerei. "After initially staying for 10 days we then went to the Dordogne for a week. I wish we’d have stayed here the whole time! Still you live and learn. The gite is very clean, well equipped with a lovely modern bathroom and kitchen with plenty of space to park your car. I have to say I’m a bit fussy, bringing my own bedding and towels but I didn’t need them here. The pristine white bedding and towels were changed every 5 days. "We spent 8 nights at Maison L’allee at the end of August. It had everything we needed. Beautiful pool that was exceptionally well maintained. The accommodation is spacious and very well equipped. The pool benefits from the sun all day and lends itself to pleasant sunsets and stunning star gazing. Lyn and Paul are laid back, friendly and discreet. They made us and our two dogs feel welcome. The surrounding area is rich with parks, lakes and activities. There are also plenty of restaurants...

"The gite was wonderful, everthing possible was there for the guests use….torch, matches, cleaning products, extra toilet rolls etc. We were welcomed with the most amazing pack of food products including beer & wine. The bed is super comfortable with additional blankets if needed, the large shower is great as well. The area/local towns were a little too quiet for us but we made the most of it….and it is out of season. "
