Decent hotel, but let’s be honest—it’s a 5-star only by Greek standards. Anywhere else, it’d barely scrape a 3 or 4. Locals rave about it, and while it does have a nice new gym, a decent indoor spa, and mostly friendly staff, the experience overall feels more average than exceptional. The rooms, while comfortable, are a bit dated and could use a refresh.
The two swimming pools and private beach are pleasant and probably the main highlights here. Step outside, though, and the area feels quiet and somewhat lacking in atmosphere. A couple of restaurants are within walking distance, but don’t expect a lively promenade with endless shops and bars like Marbella—it’s more ‘quiet suburb’ than luxury hotspot.
And because of its ‘high-profile’ reputation, the nightly entertainment outside the entrance is… let’s just say colorful. Escorts lining up by the main door (and sometimes the church next door) give the place a vibe you won’t find in the brochure.
Worth the steep price tag? Not really. But if you’ve got cash to burn and don’t mind paying champagne prices for beer-level luxury, book it—just keep your 5-star expectations firmly in check.
