Sobre aquest allotjament

Studio for 3/private entrance, bath, WiFi, Netflix, 2.5 mi to town

  • This tranquil garden suite is below our home with private entrance, kitchenette, laundry and private bath. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, electric grill, microwave & kettle. We always have coffee, tea, chocolate, and a bottle of wine for our guests. In the main room there are two beds (queen & twin), a dedicated workspace. TV with Netflix and streaming provided.

Brand new tongue and groove insulated ceiling - cuts down on noise from upstairs.

Outside the yard is surrounded by woods and gardens. We have a fire pit with firewood. Feel free to invite a small group of friends to enjoy the outdoors.

The room is large and set up as a studio. The couch is converted into a queen size bed with a 3" memory foam mattress added. Super comfortable. To the side of the bed is a Serta couch that converts to a twin bed. The attached bathroom is private with an on demand hot water system, so you will never run out of hot water. The kitchenette is in the laundry room. Laundry room is shared for extended stays.

The 42" Roku TV has streaming channels with Netflix provided. There is a DVD player with a variety of movies available. A small patio is outside the sliding glass door. The yard is available for you with a fire pit and firewood. All doors in the main room are equipped with a lock. The ceiling is tongue and groove boards with insulation. There is a new quiet ceiling fan. I try to be quiet, but you may hear some footsteps above.

Our neighbors have 2 friendly dogs who come to visit guests, especially if they are the four legged type. The neighbors also have free range chickens who like to scrounge around my year. Be sure your pets are secured. We don't want any dead chickens.

We are less than a 10-minute drive to Ohio University & downtown Athens. Our home sits at the end of a dead-end street in a peaceful wooded setting. We try to accommodate early check-in and late check-out.

Overall lovely stay.

Adorable place with room including everything you would need. Just be mindful that the room is the walkout basement of someone’s home, so you are sharing walls with owner. You will hear activity on occasion. But nonetheless, cozy atmosphere, lots of amenities. Great location to get to places. Fluffy towels. Nice place overall.

This is a great property. Exactly as described, in a private cul-de-sac. Our son will be attending OU, and this will be our go-to spot! After a full day of lectures and getting in our steps, we were able to relax on the rockers & enjoy the sunset. Communication & check-in a breeze. Book it!

This was a perfect overnight stop. …much better than a hotel room. As we travel with a fairly full cooler , we were disappointed to realize there’s only a mini fridge and we had to sacrifice some food. Otherwise they made great use of small space . If handicapped, there is a short walk down to entry.

I can’t say enough good things about Suzanne and her property. I booked this for my stay after our daughter’s college graduation. We called numerous places to book reservations to eat after graduation with both sides of her family and no one could accommodate us. I reached out to Suzanne and she told me no problem let the family come to her property. We set up tables outside and she even sent down some of her lawn chairs so we could enjoy and celebrate with our daughter. It was perfect! Her place was impeccably clean and she had everything we needed for our stay. She even had little snacks and wine in the refrigerator for guests. So thoughtful and also a beautiful wooded backyard. Quiet and comfortable. I will book her place again when my daughter graduates with her graduate degree from OU. So pleased with our stay!

Owner is great to work with. Super friendly and easily accessible. The room is simple and affordable. Internet is fast enough to work from the location and I use voice over IP. I use the location to drive in late and drop my kid off at OU. I spend the night and work a 1/2 day in the morning so I don’t have to miss a full days work transporting my kid. A great find I was reluctant to share because I want it only for myself.

We were moving our twins into Ohio University and it was a perfect place for the two of us. Very clean. It didn’t have a hair dryer (my fault for assuming it would) Thank you for a great stay!
