"I only wanted a soft bed and a hot shower after camping for 3 nights in Acadia; this motel (it's NOT a hotel) offered that. Very basic small room, clean with A/C, but I loved the grounds; very pretty, and way back off Rt. 3, the main highway on Mt. Desert Island. It is NOT an "ocean view" however; on the north side of the island there is only a very pretty far-away view of "the narrows" connecting Frenchman Bay on the east and Blue Hill Bay on the west. "This inn was so charming. The room was decorated in a nautical theme. I loved the hot made to order breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and the cute patio to sit on. It was also a great location - very easy to walk downtown. "

"Fabulous hotel! Rooms were very clean. I have a view of Frenchmans Bay and downtown Bar Harbor. Sunrise everyday over the lobster boats and lobster buoys. Breakfast was great. Hotel has front loading washer and driers where you need a room key to get in, clothes safe. Front desk personnel was friendly and provided water bottles when needed. Very close to Acadia. I loved this hotel!"

"Underwhelmed. Cottage was adorable at first. Not the cleanest, bugs in windows, stains on rugs and chairs, chips on the floor. Woke up to no hot water. The bathroom was clean. Went to front to ask about it and grab “coffee”. Honestly, coffee was similar to motor oil. A keurig would have been a better choice for the lobby. Maintenance came while we were at breakfast. I followed up and was told that I turned off breaker, which I didn’t do. Girl was polite when I asked for a refund for the 2nd...

"The hotel was very misleading. When we were booking all the photos were of the main hotel up the road and we ended up in a tiny room in the motel down the hill. The bed was well past its use and my husband ended up hurting his back because of it. The room was so small and very dated. Wish I would have done more research. I would not stay there again. "

"The place was beautiful, the rooms are large and clean. It’s about 15 minute walk from the main street so location is good as well, not too crowded . Highly recommend . Also noticed that gift shop prices at the hotel are actually slightly lower than in town if you want to buy any last minute souvenirs."
