"This was an amazing place. Comfortable, relaxing, and homey. The furniture is beautiful. The plants are real. I long for a sense of place with history and character, not plastic flowers and indescript mass art. This house checked all tbose boxes. We liked it so much that we quickly reserved a stay for our return trip. This will be our go to everytime we go to Hannibal which is our favorite stopover on our way to Chicago. Mark Twain soul is so refreshing. The people of Hannibal make me feel apart...

"I came in from out of town with a whole group of people. The owners were very friendly, & helpful. The house is sparkling clean, & very well equipped. We were even able to have a few people over for dinner! Checkin was a breeze."

"We stayed here while visiting family in town and didn’t want to book multiple hotel rooms. This was perfect for our family. Very conveniently located close to downtown. Little bit of road noise in the adult bedroom, but we played white noise on a phone and slept right through it. House was accurately described in the listed and everything was very clean and comfortable!"

"We had a great stay. The house has lots of character. We enjoyed the history of the property. The kids loved the pool. The house was supplied with everything we needed. We had one issue and the owner addressed it quickly."

"We had seven adults including one who couldn’t manage stairs well. All of us were very comfortable and had a lovely stay in this historic home while exploring Hannibal. The kitchen was well stocked, sheets and towels were soft and smooth, additional dining chairs were in place prior to our arrival and everything was clean. "

"This property is super cute, cozy, and clean. The rooms are spacious and the host was excellent. It was perfect for our weekend getaway. I will be staying here in the future when I’m in town. "

"We loved this house! It's older, but well kept up and very charming! We had a group of 12, and there was plenty of sleeping room. Its a very short walk to downtown Hannibal, so we didn't have to drive anywhere. We enjoyed the shops, museums, restaurants/bars, riverboat, and the ghost tour, and we walked everywhere! Would definitely stay here again with a large group! We didn't have any issues, so we didn't communicate with the host, Barry, during our stay, but he was a great communicator,...

"Stayed here a total of 10 nights (2 reservations) while our daughter was at Hannibal Regional Hospital recovering from complications of a surgery. We rented the upstairs unit first, (Parlor on Paris) also 2 reservations, but switched to Huck's Hideaway when we realized we would be in town several weeks. Since we were taking shifts & staying with her around the clock, it was the perfect place to relax, refuel & rest. Kitchen was very functional with a great gas stove & full size appliances....

"This was a great place to stay overall. Very spacious place. The neighborhood wasn't very good, and constant traffic. Not a deal breaker for us, just informing others. The biggest issue was the drain pump for all water is loud. Couldn't do anything with water without waking my wife or vise versa. The manager/ owner was very accommodating & nice. "
