"Cute, well appointed Cottage. Moderate walk to town (would be ideal if they provided bikes, but the reality of bike theft in Chico makes that almost an impossibility). The one big downside was the distinct smell of cigarette smoke. *it is advertised as non-smoking, but apparently someone didn’t give a darn*. Considering they knew about the smell, it would have been understandable if they had first, mentioned it to us upon booking and second, offered a discounted rate."

"Maybe it’s just me, but I need more advanced notice regarding check-in and check-out so that we know what to expect. Especially while staying, it’s helpful to k ow the host’s expectations regarding check-out. The Host was not always responsive, which was also concerning. The house was exactly as described in the listing and we were grateful to be able to bring our Tripawd dog. The eclectic furniture is well placed the bed my husband and I slept on in the middle bedroom ( we gave my 87 yo mother...
