Duplex Parque Santiago 2 close to pool, sea + beach, central, Wifi, heated pool

The Duplex Parque Santiago 2 is a terraced house on two floors and is situated in a well maintained complex overlooking the sea and the beautiful beach of Las Americas. The pool is heated in winter and located just a few steps outside the apartment. All shops, restaurants, hair salons, banks and ATMs can be easily reached on foot. The property has two bedrooms upstairs, a bedroom with double bed, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a modern living room. The highlight of the two terraces. From the upper terrace you have an indirect sea views on two sides and a fantastic view to the pool. The terraces have a seating area and sun loungers. The cozy living area features a living room with leather sofa and a dining corner, which is directly adjacent to the kitchen. The living room has a flat-screen TV with satellite programs and a small stereo.
The kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, and toaster, kettle and coffee maker. Internet is available via Wi-Fi free of charge. There is also a washing machine with iron and ironing board.
The apartment is ideal for swimming and beach holidays, even for a longer stay, it is ideally suited. The plant has a very nice pool area. The sunbeds around the pool are available at an additional charge. At the pool there is also a bistro for snacks and ice in between (surcharge).

property is ok a little overpriced considering the general maintenance issues all floor tiles are with out grout and move under foot toaster is faulty and had a shock on first use ,one of the beds had Brocken leg and was unusable the oven tripped electrics and rear gate handle was broken on arrival ,black spot mould in bathroom ceiling and shower tray upstairs wc not secured to floor, patio foulage over hanging with sharp thorns i think you get the general idea, lick i said over priced in addition we had to pay extra for use of pool loungers and shades approx. 5 euros per day per person

Searched found booked this property for a weeks holiday to tenerife ideal location to shops restaurants and the resort of playa las americas. Very secure property with no public access the apartment was perfect as is the pool and grounds

Parque Santiago II

Whilst we do not go on holiday necessarily for the accommodation, having stayed at 3 other properties on this complex, this apartment does need some attention. It was clean, great location and as a host Sven and Cristina were excellent and very accommodating, but the apartment was looking a little tired in places and areas needing to be upgraded especially in the bathroom and downstairs toilet. I don't want to sound too negative, but this was just our observations whilst staying.

Grubby and tired

What an awful property! While check in and communication was simple enough, this property is absolutely filthy with many broken pieces of furniture which are pure health a safety issue. Where to start - a patio chair in the garden was being “held up” by a bucket as the two back legs were missing. My 76 year old mum sat on it and nearly fell off - the arm of the patio chair on the upstairs terrace had also cracked and that was unsafe - the fridge door in the kitchen was rusty and moldy - the fan in the bedroom had brown grime all over it - none of the doors around the handles look like they’ve ever been cleaned. The dirt looked like it was baked in, but with a simple bit of elbow grease, it came off - just shows the cleaners had never attempted to clean it. - the dining chairs had layers of dust in them, again looked like they’d never been touched - the two sunbeds in the garden were cracked on the main supports - not sure how long they will last. - the ceiling fan was broken and the outside terrace light didn’t work I messaged the host and she did arrange for new patio chairs, the fridge and fan to be removed, the fan and terrace light to be fixed to be fair, but there seems to be no inspection of the property before you go in, so these issues should never have arisen in the first place. I did message about the cleanliness of the place but this wasn’t acknowledged. In my opinion, the host should inspect the cleaners work before the property gets handed over.

In die Jahre gekommenes Objekt, für 4 Erwachsene eher ungeeignet.

Gepflegte Anlage, gute Lage abseits des ganz großen Trubels und trotzdem sehr zentral. Schöner Pool, allerdings begrenzte Öffnungszeiten. Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Wohnung hingegen weniger gepflegt, sehr in die Jahre gekommen und mit nur einem Schlüssel. Eigentlich schöne Raumaufteilung über zwei Etagen mit zwei Toiletten, allerdings ungeeignet für vier Erwachsene. Betten im „Kinderzimmer“ provisorisch und durchgelegen, keine ausreichenden Ablage- und Verstaumöglichkeiten für Gepäck. Badezimmer renovierungsbefürftig (Dusche schimmelt, Wasserhahn völlig verkalkt), keine Abstellmöglichkeit für Badartikel. Auf der Terrasse nur zwei Plastikstühle, keine Stuhlauflagen. Zwei Liegen vorhanden, beide jedoch gebrochen. Küchenausstattung soweit gut, Kühlschrank allerdings von außen völlig rostig, Gefrierfach schließt nicht. Je nach Einstellung also Wasser im Kühlschrank aus dem Eisfach oder gefrorenes Kühlgut im obersten Fach. Fazit: Nach Renovierung und Austausch einiges defekten Inventars eigentlich schönes Objekt für zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder.

September 2023

On arrival we were met by a very pleasant lady who showed us to the villa. After she left, we had a look around and realised it was not very clean. Before I wrote this review I contacted the owner about the condition of the place and he said we should have contacted him straight away and he would have got the cleaner back in as it had been a quick turn around from other holiday makers, it needed more than a quick clean. Areas of the villa were discussing the shower being one of them. There was mold on the walls and the door and brown staining were I don't think it had ever been cleaned. Hair and dirt on floors.The fridge was equally discussing and the door is very rusty. It also did not work correctly and kept freezing the food we put in it. The owner did state that a new one was being delivered this past week. There were lights that don't work, with fittings missing and the fan in the living room has thick brown dust covering the blades. There was an hole in the kitching ceiling were there was an ants nest. The kitchen, beds rooms and bathroom were infested. The smell in the bathroom from the mold and drains was over powering we had to put in an air freshener. Bedding was aweful, looked like it had been there years, sheets did not fit correctly and for a 2 week stay there was no spares. The washing machine does not work either. Not enough room to say about rest! Complex it's self was beautiful and spotless. Such a shame we would def return, but not to this villa.

It’s a building site, no communications at all until we arrived.

The reason we booked this property was because of it’s proximity to the pool. We were massively disappointed when we arrived as the whole pool area was being dug up. Not only did this mean we couldn’t use the pool and overlooked a building site the workmen started using mechanical diggers from 08:00 - 17:00 each week day. We were only told of this when we actually arrived, if we had been told beforehand we would definitely have cancelled. Other property owners obviously had greater integrity and told their customers as the complex was virtually empty. Extremely poor on behalf of both the owner and the manager, I don’t know how they can ruin peoples well earned holidays. The interior of the apartment was very tired, not matching the bright and well maintained photos on the listing. The downstairs toilet had no seat and the shower holder on the wall was broken, there were 4 of us but only 3 outside chairs, these, along with both outside tables were very old and dirty. The bedding was old and the pillows pretty disgusting to be honest. The fridge was rusty and difficult to close, several lights were not working, a glass/plastic lamp shade in the bedroom was broken. The sofa bed was broken and creaky. I could go on with a large list of tired items and it needs redecorating. On the second day we tried the hob and it continued heating even when turned off, we reported and it was replaced within 2 days but we had to keep the fuse turned off which also operated the hot water system. A second set of keys would have been useful, especially for a family of 4 who wanted to leave and come back at different times on occasions. Overall very disappointed, we complained to the manager requesting a substantial discount, he contacted the owner who only offered 10% and refused to budge. The manager did offer his commission on top of this.

Lovely Apartment Shame about the Service

When we arrived we had to wait outside the complex for over an hour. When the person finally arrived he didn’t know where the apartment was as he took us all round the complex to back to where we started & I was with my elderly mother with two suitcases. Not really acceptable. I asked about Wi-Fi & TV he said it’ll work tomorrow, left several messages from the free Wi-Fi from Tourist Office opposite but he never came round. So we had No TV or Wi-Fi for a week. I also asked about the safe he said it was 3 euros a day & had to go through a different company & not to bother as it was very safe. The apartment is lovely with a nice garden with the sun all day. It had everything you needed and we will stay there again it’s just such a shame about the service as we had no contact with anyone.

The apartment was clean and well equipped had everything we needed. Very good quiet location. Was a little tired in places and the cushions for the patio furniture needed replacing. Could do with written information on how the cooker and tv works the remotes did not work.

Sehr schöne und gut gelegene Massionett Wohnung

Der Aufenthalt in der Wohnung war 15Tage. Die Wohnung ist voll möbliert und in einem guten Zustand. Ventilstoren sorgen für nötige Abkühlung. Viele Schränke bieten genügend Stauraum. Die Betten sind gemütlich Wenn Reparaturen zu leisten waren, reichte eine kurze Nachricht über einen Messenger an die Verwaltung. Antworten bei Fragen oder Anliegen kamen zügig innerhalb von 2 Stunden. Man kann von der oberen Terasse aus das Meer sehen. Die Pool Anlage ist sehr sauber, allerdings mit einigen wichtigen Regeln zu benutzen. Zb: Ist der Pool nur zwischen 10h und 18h zu benutzen. Keine Luftmatratzen sind erlaubt. Es darf nicht vom Beckenrand gesprungen werden. Und noch einige andere Regeln die strickt eingehalten werden müssen. Besser erfragen, ich habe leider kein Foto gemacht. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und auch sehr ruhig. Besser keine Gartenparty planen. Es passierte nur leider immer wieder mal, dass Baustellen Geräusche zu hören waren. Mal mehr mal weniger schlimm. Allerdings waren diese nur im Haus extrem zu hören. Am Pool ging es mit der Lärmbelastung. Leider konnte man nicht voraus planen an dem Tag etwas zu unternehmen, denn die Vermietung meinte, sie hätte keinen Einfluß und kann diese Baustellen nicht vorher ankündigen.

Everything was fine with the apartment, it was clean and well equiped. The complexe was nice and 50m from the beach. There were lots of really good restaurants just near the apartment, perfect for lunch or dinner. I really recommend this apartment.

Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub, Die Wohnung entsprach dem Inserat. Coronabedingte Einschränkungen waren vor allem im Poolbereich zu spüren. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur verlief sehr schnell. Kleinere technische Probleme (defekter Fön) wurden innerhalb der Woche leider nicht behoben.
