"Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). "Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben."

"We extended our stay in Melfort village and were rewarded with beautiful weather. Upper Cooperage is a lovely comfortable apartment which now has an ensuite shower room as well as main bathroom. Everything we need is provided and the village is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are welcoming & helpful & the Monday music night was great fun. Recommend a stay here."

"We booked at the last minute fir 2 nights as we were delayed sailing to Isle of Barra due to bad weather. Melfort was perfect for us to relax and begin our holiday, the family loved the pool and we had a lovely walk. The cottage was great. Most important the staff were just so helpful, they could not do enough. We are already recommending to friends."

"This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. I will definitely be back ."

"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."
