    Our Villa is located just a 15-minute drive from the beach, restaurants bars café and shops. The enchanting city of Chania is a 30-minute drive away, while the splendid coastal town of Rethymnon is also within easy reach.
    Its superb location helps you to explore the beauties of Crete island.
    Orientem Villa offer a large living room with kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an outdoor swimming pool ideal for 6 + 3 guests.
    Our village Nippos is a semi-mountainous village of Chania, 37 kilometers from Chania.
    In the village there is a traditional Cretan tavern where you can taste the real Cretan cuisine with local products, as well as the hospitality of the local people.

Perfekt!

Das Haus war sehr sauber. Der Blick ist atemberaubend. Maria ist sehr gastfreundlich und tut alles, damit sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. Man ist bei ihr nicht einfach Mieter sondern Gast. Sie hat uns wirklich verwöhnt. Im Ort gibt es alles, was man braucht. Einen Supermarkt, eine nette Taverne, eine Tankstelle, Kaffees usw. Die Familie baut eine weitere sehr schöne Villa nebenan. Diese stört aber nicht den Blick auf das Meer. Wir werden sehr sicher wiederkommen. Danke Maria!

Fabulous villa - perfect family break!

The villa is beautiful, and Maria is a delightful, friendly host. There are fig and lemon trees in the garden which you’re welcome to help yourself to, and the pool is brilliant. There’s a shallow platform area that’s great for smaller children to play in safely, and all the outdoor areas are spacious and very comfortable. Also great to have the outdoor kitchen for BBQs. The beds are incredibly comfy, and the air con is quiet and very efficient. Maria and her family produce their own organic wine and she gifted us a bottle to sample (along with a welcome fruit platter!) and it was all delicious! The views across the mountains are stunning. There are local tavernas within a few minutes drive of the villa. We particularly liked one called Tzitzifia just up the road - really pretty, great food and lovely host. It also had loads of kittens which made our daughter very happy!! The whole villa is very well equipped with everything you need for a holiday - we didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Relaxing holiday in gorgeous location with a goddess host!

We spent two weeks at the beginning of August staying at Orientem villa with our three kids age 18/12/5. The villa is set in rolling countryside at the top of a hill with fabulous views. The villa has a lovely pool and a contemporary design with all of the amenities that you would expect. The local village has lots of little shops to pick up supplies and there are plenty of beautiful beaches 20-30 mins drive away and the wonderful city of Chania is c45mins away and well worth several trips for the food and shopping. Crete is gorgeous and has many fab things to see and do : wine tours, olive oil tours, beaches, ancient sites etc. We are a family that loves to cook and also eat out and we had plenty of opportunity for both with our best restaurant of the holidays just over the hill (Taverna Tzitzifias). We were made to feel very welcome by everyone we met in Crete - they are extremely hospitable but the holiday hero for us was Maria who owns Orientem. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she did so many things to help us enjoy our holiday and make us feel at home. She is a five star host!

Vacances de rêve !!!

Yassas !!! Arrivée dans une magnifique maison, environnement calme et paisible entouré de champ d'olivier. Maria, l'hôtesse d'accueil, est vraiment aux petits soins pour nous. Notre arrivé étant tardive, elle nous propose une préparation culinaire typique crétoise, avec fruits frais tranchés, eau gazeuse et plate déjà dans le frigo. Autant vous dire que nous avons fortement apprécié. Vous découvrirez une vue magnifique depuis la piscine à débordement !! 🤗🤗🤗 Les chambres sont très agréables et nous y avons merveilleusement bien dormi. Nous avons pu explorer l'ensemble de la partie Ouest de la Crète sans difficulté. L'accessibilité à l'autoroute est très simple et permet de visiter la Crète comme bon vous semble. Un conseil: Si vous doutez de la beauté de votre destination, nous vous assurons que cela vaut vraiment de le détour. Ajouter à cela l'hospitalité et la fameuse cuisine crétoise !!! Combo gagnant !!! 🤗🤗🤗 Encore merci à toi Maria pour tes conseils, ta disponibilité et ton professionnalisme. Nous diffuserons avec plaisir ton adresse et reviendrons avec grand bonheur te voir. A perfect stay !

We had a eight days stay at the Orientem Villa with my wife and our three kids. Everything is just perfect from the beginning till the end! The house is located in a quiet place in the middle of Olive trees. Its decoration is nice and elegant. It is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The view from the house over the nearby landscape is magnificent! The bakery and the supermarket is only a five minutes drive from the house. Maria, our host, took care of us in a perfect way. The house was very well prepared. Upon arrival, we had fresh water and homemade cakes. Maria prepared a dinner for us with specialities made with local products. We had a great moment! We will surely be back and I would warmly recommend to everyone a stay at the villa Orientem! Thank you very much Maria!

Just Perfect

We recently returned from a 28 day stay at Villa Orientem, nothing I could say would adequately describe our experiences whilst there. The inside of the villa is modern, stylish and well finished, it has obviously been designed with comfort and practicality in mind, we found everything spotlessly clean and it was kept immaculately clean during our stay, no mean feat when there was 7 of us in residence. The kitchen, which is probably the most well equipped villa kitchen I have ever used, was spotless, everything you could possibly expect to find in your own kitchen was available, the relief at finding sharp knives, a teapot and a decent coffee machine cannot be underestimated! Salt, pepper, herbs, sugar, teas were all available, one shelf in the fridge was full of large bottles of water and a huge bowl of sliced watermelon was waiting for us upon arrival. During our stay and to celebrate religious festivals Maria would gift us with treats, pastries drenched in honey, sweet fruited bread and delicious small fancy cakes and home baked cheese pies, returning to the villa after an afternoon away, we would find the villa sparkling clean and a large bowl of grapes from their vines waiting for us or delicious pears from their pear tree. There are figs, limes and rows of vines, we were encouraged to help ourselves to all this throughout our visit. The beds and mattresses are excellent quality and very comfortable, the bedrooms were cleaned and refreshed and crisp white sheets and snowy towels were replaced regularly. The family bathroom is modern, stylish and has a large shower, again it was cleaned and refreshed regularly. The outside front of the villa is divine, the infinity pool faces out onto a vista of olive groves, pine trees, mountains and in the distance the glittering sea, it really does feel as if time is suspended and you are looking at a landscape which would be familiar to the ancients. The pool is very well kept, scrupulously cleaned in the early morning before we got up and checked regularly, sun loungers with comfortable cushions and a couple of huge umbrellas were very welcome as this side of the villa catches the morning sun, early risers sat on the terrace with coffee to watch the sun rise (this is how we know the pool is cleaned very early). We barbequed several times and sat and ate our evening meal at the large table while watching the moon rise, it was a sublime end to the day. The outside back of the villa is shaded in the

Tolles Haus und super nette Vermieter

Das Haus wurde in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal (Neuzustand) vermietet und war daher in einem top Zustand. Man hatte alles was man benötigte (gutes Internet!) und wenn etwas gefehlt hat wurde es längstens innerhalb eines Tages besorgt/erledigt. Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb in den Bergen gelegen (Strand ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Auto). Wer touristische Nähe sucht ist hier falsch aufgehoben, hier regiert die Ruhe. Außerdem muß man wissen, daß man sich in Griechenland, einem vergleichsweise armen EU-Land befindet. Rundherum westdeutsche Gepflogenheiten zu erwarten ist ein falscher Ansatz. Hier muß man sich auf Greichenland und die super netten griechischen Menschen einlassen, dann wird das ein ganz toller Urlaub!
