CAST AWAY your stress and worries at this adorable piece of old Florida near BEAN POINT. Charming vintage cottage with LUSH TROPICAL HEATED POOL & SPA area.

Two bedrooms with queen beds, well equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs mounted in each room, full sized washer & dryer, and large front porch with mini fridge all combine as your home base in paradise. Enjoy relaxing moments poolside, beachfront, or exploring the whimsical boutiques in the SUNNY QUAINT VILLAGES on Anna Maria Island.

Everything you need to enjoy your days on the island is at the cottage - just add food & drink + swimsuit & flip flops. We provide a STREET LEGAL GOLF CART (4 seats), beach chairs, beach umbrellas, Wheeleez beach wagon, bicycles, four stand up paddle boards, two-seat kayak, private outdoor shower/changing room with hot & cold water, two gas grills, coolers, and more! After a day at the beach or sightseeing, the private pool/spa awaits - chilled or heated - any time of the year. A 55 inch Smart TV is set up for you to watch your favorite team (or whatever!) while chilling in the pool! Ledge Lounger ice bucket/table in pool splash pad for your drinks.

Don't bring beach towels, paper towels, or toilet paper! We have all the basics (and more) supplied in the kitchen and bathroom. Pack n Play, high chair, booster seat & stroller are in the hall closet for the small ones. Pet dishes in place for your OTHER small ones!

Spices, chocolates, wine, water at each bedside, coffee, and tea complete the arrival necessities. Coffee grinder is also provided.

Located a short leisurely stroll down a charming sandy pathway from Bean Point Beach with sparkling crystal clear water and gorgeous white sand, the cottage locale also provides access to delicious island eateries or come home and grill your own freshly caught fish and DINE AROUND THE POOL. Don’t miss the blackened grouper or scallops at the nearby Waterfront, a classic Philly cheesesteak at Slim's, or a cheeseburger in paradise at Duffy's Tavern!

Sunshine, seashells, sand, surf, and saltwater ☀ - all of the sublime ingredients needed to change your clock to ISLAND TIME!

Amazing Place - Amazing Location

All I can say is WOW! Goose and Gander are incredible property owners who undoubtably take pride in their properties. Such a cute, cozy cottage within a quiet area just a very short walk to the remote, pristine white sandy beach area. There weren't any details left out - everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable were available with this rental, plus some. They manage several properties to accommodate different party sizes. We will definitely be reaching out to Dan and Lori the next time we plan to visit AMI - would go back tomorrow if I could ;)

Sister trip

Had an amazing stay with my 2 sisters. The property was easily accessible by foot to Bean Point. The golf cart was an awesome amenity ...we were able to maneuver around the island to all of the cute shops and yummy eateries without a hitch. Our hosts were more than accommodating and very friendly.would definitely stay again and again...

Such a beautiful place with amazing hospitality

Relaxing vacation for all!

This house was perfect for our family of 4 (boys 6 &8). Lori and Dan have truly thought of everything to make your vacation effortless. The house was clean and hosts were quick to answer any questions we had.They have the best beach supplies (wagon, Shibumi shade, beach chairs, toys, etc), and we used them daily. Their pool is where my kids had the most fun. It was at a comfortable 86 degrees, and we were able to turn the hot tub on whenever we felt like using it. They even have a TV outside. Our kids watched a movie one evening while floating on inner tubes :) Their property is a quick walk to bean point, and a quick golf cart ride to restaurants, shops, etc. All in all, we had a perfect vacation.

Wonderful Stay

We loved our stay at the Castaway Cottage. The owners are so nice and met us on arrival. The house was clean and had all the things we needed to cook meals. The pool and landscaping are amazing and still feels very private. The proximity to Bean Point Beach was so convenient too especially with a little one. We also loved using the included golf cart and had so much fun riding around Anna Maria. This is a great place to stay for a small family or couple

Perfect location

Family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 3 nights in April. Had an excellent time on the island. And we were really impressed with the property and its location. Cool little trail, steps from the door take you straight to Bean Point.

Outdoor Oasis

This property is ideal…clean, close to the beach and comes with everything that you need for a relaxing vacation. The outdoor area with heated pool, hot tub, kayak, paddle boards, outdoor shower and tv was amazing! We spent most of our time outdoors with everything that we needed. I can’t say enough good things…we hope to go back soon!

Content at Castaway

My sixth year returning to reset and relax… I was so relieved to see little Castaway still standing and looking fabulous after Helene and Milton- kudos to Dan and Goose for their hospitality and even welcoming a new puppy to the scene. It was wonderful to see businesses and folks coming back from the devastation and look forward to next time!

We had an amazing getaway! The best location and amenities! The cottage is stocked with everything you need and more.. and it's decor is so cute! Highly recommend staying here. Thank you to our wonderful hosts - very accommodating they're super nice!!! We plan on a return trip!

"Beautiful Island, Disappointing Stay""Beautiful Island, Disappointing "amenities".

The island itself was absolutely perfect – beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the amenities at the cottage left much to be desired. The hot tub, which was one of the main reasons I chose this property, was unusable for 2 of the 3 nights I stayed. When reaching out to the hosts, their response was underwhelming at best. The first complaint led to a "fix" which allowed the hot tub to be used one night, the second complaint the host simply stated that they hoped it "didn't ruin the evening" rather than offering any real solution or compensation. Communication was lacking throughout our stay, which was disappointing. While the location was wonderful, the overall experience fell short due to the unusable amenities and poor host response.

Wonderful Getaway

Castaway Cottage exceeded our expectations! The location is an easy 2 minute walk to the beach and dining is an easy 3 minute golf cart ride. The owners outfitted the home to perfection. We loved our stay and look forward to another visit soon.

Amazing time

Myself, my husband and our twin boys age 8 stayed from Dec 23rd - Dec 28th, 2024. and Yes even after 2 hurricanes we still went! and with zero regrets. AMI came a long way in 2months of hard work.Dan and Lori were great! They kept me informed and up to date with status of repairs because of hurricane damage. Any questions I had prior to arrival with status of island, places open etc. They got back to me same day. This place was perfect for us. Everything we needed was there, the pool was great and ready for us. A quick 2mins walk and we were on the beach. The golf cart we used everyday which the kids loved! It was an all around great place to stay & will definitely visit here again. Thank you Dan and Lori :) Hope 2025 is a great year !

Honeymoon

This was hands down the best service ive ever experienced even better than most hotels! The property managers were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. They had a ton of amenities and they even blessed us with a bottle of wine and champagne for our honeymoon! I definitely recommend this place to vacation we will be back for sure!

Finally, a Space That Lives Up To Its Billing

Perfectly lovely, well put-together, homey, full of amenities, including beach amenities, comes with goofy wheelbarrow to haul chairs and umbrellas and miscellaneous crapola to the beach plus a goofy golf cart tor tool around within a few miles, and everything is within a few miles. Managers were welcoming and helpful.

AMI is our Happy Place!

We have been going to AMI for over 50 and 30 years respectively. We love it!! Cottage was great for us! Pool area is fabulous! If you are an ocean swimmer you are close to Bean Point so keep that in mind. Area immediate to cottage doesn’t flood but surrounding streets will in a heavy rain. We loved our stay and would return!
