Beautiful farmhouse located on a quiet street. We loved seeing deer right in the front yard! There were great activities that kept the kids engaged and happily away from technology. A peaceful, memorable stay for our family!

We really enjoyed the house, it was so comfortable and adorable. The entire booking process and communication was seamless. We wanted to stay longer and would definitely stay again!

Morning coffee on the porch was amazing. The view breathtaking with the sunrise on the mountains.All the comforts needed away from home added to the touch. A short drive to Marpha for the Marpha lights, then to Fort Davis state park is a must in the rivers order.A little further from Fort Davis to the biggest Spring fed pool at Balmorhea State Park Will add to the touch. Starting out again from Alpine, take a little drive to Big Bend national Park, and be sure to do the scenic view. A stop in Terlingua along the way will add a flare of exploration with the infamous ghost town. Make sure to check out the gifts and the outdoor restaurant next-door on the hill by the Terlingua jail. 4 to 5 days is feasible to get all this done.

Perfect location for trip to Big Bend

We visited Alpine, Big Bend National Park, Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, and Marfa. This place was the best base for our visit. The views off the porch were excellent. The home was nicely appointed and had all the comforts of home. We would stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay.

The place is a great place to stay. Accessible to all of the Big Bend area. The owner, Joe was very easy to communicate with. Always available to answer any questions. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip.

The home, location and accommodations were no less than perfect. The home is well appointed with plenty of room. We enjoyed the back patio (thank you for the grill!) and front porch. Very relaxing. Communication with the owner was open and responses to my questions were timely. We plan on coming back to this area and without a doubt, stay in this house again.

Desert Oasis

We LOVED our stay. House was perfect!! Clean, cute, & comfy. Great central location for us to visit Mafa, Fort Davis, and Marathon. Host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We are already planning our trip back!!

The owner contact was amazing and so kind! The home was beautiful! The provided activities made our stay even more fun (corn hole, board games, etc.). The beds were so comfortable I felt like I was back home in my own bed.

Alpine

The facility was well designed and fully equipped. The beds were perfect. The setting is on the outskirts of Alpine, a fine Western town. The host responded to all our questions promptly. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Home for Family of 5

Our family loved this home! The location, the amenities and the backyard was everything we could have wanted and more! The hosts literally thought of everything! We enjoyed the sunsets from.the front porch each evening. The location was perfect distance to all that we wanted tonsee and do and the backyard waa the perfect space for thr kids to play!

This home was perfect for our family - very comfortable and peaceful. Providing a coffee bar and a welcome basket of snacks is thoughtful and how I would I describe our hosts! This home offers multiple places for relaxation from comfortable chairs on the front porch to a fire pit area in the backyard for chilly nights. This home had everything we needed!!

This modern farmhouse was clean, updated, and comfortable. The hosts do a wonderful job of making their home feel welcoming to guests. There was a nice coffee bar and even a basket of snacks waiting for us upon our arrival. The hosts communicate quickly and answer questions thoroughly. They are kind and flexible. The backyard had a variety of activities available to help kids have a good time as well. We especially loved the view of the mountains from the front porch. There is ample seating throughout the house and plenty of dishes and kitchen items for all your meal time needs. We would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend it.

Great living space

We were two couples in for a special viewing night at McDonald’s Observatory. The house was ideal for us, and the kitchen island was a big hit, as was the front porch. Very clean, exactly as advertised!
