Absolutely unacceptable safety situation and an even worse staff response.
While staying at this hotel, five individuals walked past my parked car late at night, opened their van’s sliding door, and then approached me directly while I was seated in the passenger seat. This was not a casual stroll — they came straight toward me. My Doberman went into full protection posture, and only after I commanded her to heel did the group stop approaching. One of them even said, “Well, I guess we can call this a wrap for tonight,” before closing the van door and leaving.
That alone would be disturbing enough, but what happened next is what convinced me never to stay here again.
I went inside immediately to ask the staff to check the security footage. The receptionist acted confused, flustered, and suddenly “couldn’t find the clip.” Then they pulled up an old recording of me going outside, played it for nearly thirty minutes, and acted like I wouldn’t notice they were avoiding the actual footage. Their behavior came off as evasive, unprofessional, and absolutely unacceptable given the seriousness of what had just happened.
My safety concern was brushed off.
The footage mysteriously went missing.
And the staff looked irritated instead of concerned.
This back parking lot is not secure, and judging by the staff’s reaction, you should not expect transparency or support if something happens.
If you value your safety or basic honesty from hotel staff, look elsewhere.
