This charming deluxe waterfront vacation cottage is all about location. It is located in the heart of the village of Alexandria Bay aka A-Bay. It is next to the RiverEdge Resort and you can walk to everywhere in the village including Uncle Sam’s Boat Tours where you can take a boat ride to the beautiful Boldt Castle or the storybook Singer Castle. The property has a spacious wood burning fire pit that overlooks the mighty St. Lawrence Seaway where you can ship watch. The cottage sleeps up to 10 adults (maximum) with 4 private bedrooms and 2 baths. The house was original build in 1863 has be recently remodeled. It is tastefully decorated with a wood paddle theme. The full kitchen boast ample room for preparation to save money during your family vacation by eating in. This all season cottage has heating and air conditioning in each room. Dock rental is available for an $35 per day extra fee. Sorry NO Pets allowed on the property. Nice note*** the property owners and managers live next door if you ever need anything during your stay, they can assist. This one of a kind property has been voted Number 1 vacation rental in Alexandria Bay 7 years in a row. It is in a key spot for nearby fishing, scuba, boating, touring, sailing, jet ski riding, the village beach, playgrounds, kayaking, a view of Boldt Castle from property and near by other castles and grand island mansions, restaurants, Night Clubs and Bars, Shopping, Tour Boars, Boat Rentals, Drive-In Movies, Fishing Guides, Vineyards, Distilleries, Golf, Go-Carts, Tennis, Pickle Ball, Distilleries, Wine tastings, and Shopping. Maximum occupancy is 10 people, no sleeping on cots, air mattresses or couches.

Family and Friends

The River is our favorite place! Our stay was perfect at Paddles on the Porch! The home and yard are spacious for family and friends to gather, we especially enjoyed the firepit and deck. Any amenities you would ever want or need are supplied. The owners are lovely people, easy to communicate with, and immediately responsive to any concerns or requests. A 5 star review for sure! We are hoping to return!

Alexandria bay Gem

Amazing ! Great experience. Far exceeded our expectations. Loved every minute of our stay. Ideal location did not need to use our car at all. Everything within walking distance. House was as pictured only better! Beds very comfortable. Plenty of linens available. Kitchen well stocked Didn’t use outdoor grill but it was available. Hosts very nice. Introduced themselves and very informative regarding local activities we were a family of 6 and had plenty of room. Did not feel crowded if you’re looking for someplace to vacation look no further. We visit area every year and this place was the best ever. Look forward to returning

Simply Amazing

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Paddles on the Porch. It is a great location with close proximity to the town life. Court and Louise were very helpful and friendly. The house was fully stocked with all of your needs, including bathroom toiletries. We couldn't have asked for a better time at Alex Bay. Thank You!!

Fantastic Alexandria Bay rental

The property is perfectly placed to have a great Alexandria Bay experience. You can walk to town; the Tiki Bar is steps away and access to boat tours is steps away. Going to Canada is a snap. The owners take great pride in their property. The kitchen is stocked with anything you can imagine you would need to make cooking like home. They supply shampoo, body wash, bug spray and suntan lotion! I have never been to a place that provides bug spray and suntan lotion! The yard is right on the St. Lawerence River. A huge fire pit/sitting area. A peaceful place to start or end your day. I would highly recommend this property.

Views and Property are Perfect

Overall this is a great property! We were able to tie up our boat for the weekend and walk right up to the house. Everything was clean and well updated, views from the property were second to none and it's an easy walk to downtown. Highly recommend!

Our First Time to Alex Bay!

This was our first time to the area and we were so happy to be staying in the heart of it. Paddles on the Porch is a perfect location to walk to town, but also have direct access to the water. We brought our boat and loved having the ability to dock it right just a few steps away. The house was great - Great kitchen, comfy beds, and awesome deck to hang out on. We enjoyed the fire pit in the yard and there is a tiki bar only a few steps away that we enjoyed afternoon cocktails everyday. I can't say enough about how wonderful the location is and how well the hosts run the process.

Another great stay

This is our 4th year returning to the property. It is always super clean and has pretty much everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The owners are great. Easy to communicate with and super friendly with great advice on what to check out and anything going on event wise. They are right next door which was great incase we needed anything but they aren’t intrusive on your stay. We love coming back with our family/friends each year. We stayed with a 1, 4, 7, 10, and 12 year and 4 adults. Plenty of space in the house for all of us. The gift shops and restaurants were all within walking distance. Definitely a great location to be. We can’t wait to come back next year.

Feels like home

Thus is our 6th time at Court and Louise place and as always it was perfect! Looking out to see sunset over Boldt castle is awesome. Kitchen is well stocked for family dinners!! Beds are super comfy!! Love this place!! Joan

If you are searching for a cozy, spacious, all around comfortable home to vacation at, look no further! Paddles on the Porch offers a deck with spectacular views, enclosed porch w/ fun bar and plenty of seating, close walks to golf course, church, mini mart, bars, lots of restaurants, tour boats, public beach, parking. So much fun!!

Great Time!

What a place! We could paddleboard straight from the dock, head on over to the Tiki Bar, or walk into town. There happened to be "Blues on the Bay," a free music festival going Labor Day weekend of our trip. There was plenty of space for two sets of grandparents, ourselves, and our young son to spread out. Definitely recommend! There was something broken with the grill and Court came right over to bring the parts and replace - very nice hosts :)

Best spot for making memories

This is our 3rd year returning to the property. The house was clean as usual and it was easy to contact the owners if we needed anything or had questions. The house is in the perfect location. Right on the water and shops super close by. Pretty much everything you could need is in walking distance. Waltons market around the corner was super convenient for the kids snacking needs and had some delicious breakfast sandwiches. The kids loved being able to walk to all the gift shops and the fudge/candy shop. We can’t wait to return next year and make more amazing memories.

Great house in a great location

We had 10 family members in this home and it was plenty big enough for everyone. It was very clean and stocked better than we could have hoped. The owners where very attentive, but still very respectful of our privacy. Louise showed us everything when we got there, and Court was available to take care of a very - very - small issue we had - the hosts where great! The location was fantastic. We loved the charm of the house while still being completely updated. The beds where super comfy. Honestly we have nothing negative to say! It was a great vacation and we would not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

Beautiful property

The property was beautiful over looking the river, the location was fantastic and within walking distance to bars and restaurants with so much to do in this area. The rooms and house was spacious and plenty of room for our girls weekend of 10!

Better than expected

Three couples stayed here for a week while pontooning on the St Lawrence River. The house was immaculate and well provisioned. The host was helpful and friendly. We used the dock, which was located right behind the house, so we didn't have far to go to get on the boat. If you want to take a tour boat they are very close and it is a short walk to the downtown area stores. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone going to the Alexander Bay area.

This is a beautiful property with an even better view of the river.

Great place for an extended family BBQ.

This was our 3rd stay at Paddles on the Porch. We love it. Its spacious clean and great for families. The backyard and supersize grill is perfect for a great BBQ. The location on the river is perfect for morning sunrise and evening sunsets. The deck with lots of seating is fabulous for daily chats with easy access to coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. Court and Louise are great hosts always ready to help but not intrusive. We will be back!
