The Lily Pad Riverside Apartment

The Lily Pad is a contemporary, spacious, ground floor apartment nestled on the banks of the beautiful River Avon, complete with its own private decking area and mooring. Thoughtfully developed and designed to accommodate guests in luxurious style, the property offers modern living in picturesque surroundings, providing the perfect escape for discerning couples.

Large bi-fold doors open the apartment onto the decking area, creating a sublime space for indoor/outdoor living. Wake to the sound of birdsong and spend the morning watching the river boats lazily go by. Escape into the idyllic English countryside along one of the many rambling trails or sample the local cuisine in traditional pubs or the exclusive riverside restaurant, all on your doorstep. Guests are welcome to bring canoes or small boats to explore the many beautiful villages along the river, or enjoy a spot of fishing from the private mooring.

The Lily Pad is only a 7 mile drive away from Stratford-upon-Avon, with a bustling night life and a wealth of bistro pubs, restaurants and clubs, the birthplace of Shakespeare offers everything you could want for the perfect night out, as you like it. Take in some culture at the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RSC) before indulging in the best in fine dining, then head back to your ‘home away from home’. Taste a slice of the good life – the Lily Pad life.
Location

Located in the lovely village of Bidford on Avon, which dates back to Roman times and has a wealth of history and attractions both locally and in the surrounding area. Stratford upon Avon 7 miles, Evesham 7 miles, Broadway and the Cotswold 12 miles, Warwick 16 miles and Cheltenham 24 miles. The city of Birmingham is 22 miles away.

Lily Pad was better than we expected . Looks much better than the photos. Bedroom and bathroom were fancy, heated towel rails and floor, very comfortable bed and setting on Avon was beautiful. Big kitchen with fully working appliances and heating. No problems at all with our stay.

We loved our stay in The Lily Pad, it was spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable bed and fluffy towels. The decking and outdoor furniture and view of the river was really enjoyed. Our hosts Richard and Vicky were very welcoming and friendly, and there are lots of places to visit nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at Lily Pad in Bidford-on-Avon. The property is finished to a very high standard and set in a beautiful, picturesque area, making it an excellent base for exploring the region.The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Whether in sunshine or rain, the property is perfect for a relaxing break.We especially loved the easy access to the river for kayaking — a real highlight of our stay.We’ll definitely be back!

We had such a lovely stay at Victoria’s Lily Pad apartment. It was like a home from home. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater and the bathroom was clean and modern, the shower is amazing. Overall the apartment is so comfortable and perfect for a couple. Bidford upon Avon is such a central base to visit the surrounding areas. Stratford is about 10-15 away in the car. Broadway and Bourton on the water are stunning and well worth a visit. Stow on the wold is pretty but not as much to do there. There are so many more places we want to visit in the surrounding area but just didn't have time so we will definitely revisit and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook the lily pad. The parking is right next to the apartment and is such a bonus. Thank you Victoria for a lovely stay. Emma and Matt x

The Lilypad is 5 star plus accomodation in an idylic location beside the river Avon. Close to the border of Warwickshire and Worcestershire there is to much to see and do in only a week. Most of the sights/ attractions are within in a 30 to 40 minute drive away. Bidford may be a small village which adds to its charm but has all the ammenities you need within a short walk. Victoria and Richard are the perfect hosts and the welcome package wasmuch appreciated. Thanks

The Lily Pad is absolutely delightful - a wonderfully relaxing spot right on the riverbank and with all amenities close at hand. I had a lovely time busy doing nothing and didn't feel guilty once. The weather was an added bonus. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Very spacious and well equipped with a comfortable bed and shower. The location is close to a number of places to eat including "The Bridge" and Harry Bones's take away pizza both which we would recommend. Prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch! Great view over the river and a Co-op close by. We used the park and ride to get into Stratford which was only a few miles away. Would happily stay there again

We enjoyed a short break in this lovely peaceful property. It was very cosy and comfortable. The view and situation is perfect. The kitchen has everything you need. The bedroom is very comfortable with a great ensuite. We would be very happy to stay there again.

well appointed, light and spacious property in a lovely spot on the riverside (be prepared for the opposite river bank to be busy at weekends!) Excellent postion for RSC ,(don't bother with the current Macbeth it is dire!) historic houses and gardens and superb places to eart.Charming helpful hosts. Would highly recommend.

We loved absolutely everything about this beautiful, stylish studio beside the river. It is every bit as lovely as it looks in the photographs. Relax and potter or explore the delights that this part of Warwickshire has to offer. Victoria and Richard are perfect hosts. Who can ask for anything more!

Lovely little apartment right on the river, great location for walking to local spots plus day trips viewing the Cotswolds. Only comment there is a step up to the bathroom, and if need to visit the bathroom during the night, need to be careful if light not on. Otherwise beautiful place
