The Lily Pad Riverside Apartment

The Lily Pad is a contemporary, spacious, ground floor apartment nestled on the banks of the beautiful River Avon, complete with its own private decking area and mooring. Thoughtfully developed and designed to accommodate guests in luxurious style, the property offers modern living in picturesque surroundings, providing the perfect escape for discerning couples.

Large bi-fold doors open the apartment onto the decking area, creating a sublime space for indoor/outdoor living. Wake to the sound of birdsong and spend the morning watching the river boats lazily go by. Escape into the idyllic English countryside along one of the many rambling trails or sample the local cuisine in traditional pubs or the exclusive riverside restaurant, all on your doorstep. Guests are welcome to bring canoes or small boats to explore the many beautiful villages along the river, or enjoy a spot of fishing from the private mooring.

The Lily Pad is only a 7 mile drive away from Stratford-upon-Avon, with a bustling night life and a wealth of bistro pubs, restaurants and clubs, the birthplace of Shakespeare offers everything you could want for the perfect night out, as you like it. Take in some culture at the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre (RSC) before indulging in the best in fine dining, then head back to your ‘home away from home’. Taste a slice of the good life – the Lily Pad life.
Location

Located in the lovely village of Bidford on Avon, which dates back to Roman times and has a wealth of history and attractions both locally and in the surrounding area. Stratford upon Avon 7 miles, Evesham 7 miles, Broadway and the Cotswold 12 miles, Warwick 16 miles and Cheltenham 24 miles. The city of Birmingham is 22 miles away.

What an absolutely lovely stay! First I want to say that Victoria and Richard were wonderful host - very attentive to my needs and very friendly! The property was modern and clean and every amenity was provided. The loveliest part was the 3-tiered deck that opened directly onto the River Avon! Fed ducks and swans as they paddled by and just relaxed! Perfect stay centrally located for all Shakespeare enthusiasts! Loved this place!

The property was easy to find, and we were met straight away by the friendly, welcoming host who showed us round. We had a lovely 3 nights here - the property is lovely to relax in and is wonderfully located to visit a whole host of tourist attractions. The village has shops and highly recommend the Bridge restaurant. A really lovely break, and a pleasure to recommend this lovely property.

Stayed at the Lily Pad for 4 years running, this time for 2 weeks, we didn’t need to go anywhere as all we wanted was to relax in a lovely setting, which we certainly did. We fished from the private jetty catching, roach, rudd, perch and a couple of pike. The hosts are perfect and ensure their guests are well looked after.

Lily Pad was better than we expected . Looks much better than the photos. Bedroom and bathroom were fancy, heated towel rails and floor, very comfortable bed and setting on Avon was beautiful. Big kitchen with fully working appliances and heating. No problems at all with our stay.

Beautiful apartment, with lovely view

We loved our stay in The Lily Pad, it was spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable bed and fluffy towels. The decking and outdoor furniture and view of the river was really enjoyed. Our hosts Richard and Vicky were very welcoming and friendly, and there are lots of places to visit nearby.

Excellent stay

Excellent stay at the lilypad, hosts were attentive and welcoming. Beautiful clean property with lots of space to enjoy. Definitely will return in the summer. Fantastic views of the river in the sun!

Stunning

We had such a lovely stay at Victoria’s Lily Pad apartment. It was like a home from home. The kitchen has everything you need to self cater and the bathroom was clean and modern, the shower is amazing. Overall the apartment is so comfortable and perfect for a couple. Bidford upon Avon is such a central base to visit the surrounding areas. Stratford is about 10-15 away in the car. Broadway and Bourton on the water are stunning and well worth a visit. Stow on the wold is pretty but not as much to do there. There are so many more places we want to visit in the surrounding area but just didn't have time so we will definitely revisit and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook the lily pad. The parking is right next to the apartment and is such a bonus. Thank you Victoria for a lovely stay. Emma and Matt x

Couldnt wish for more

The Lilypad is 5 star plus accomodation in an idylic location beside the river Avon. Close to the border of Warwickshire and Worcestershire there is to much to see and do in only a week. Most of the sights/ attractions are within in a 30 to 40 minute drive away. Bidford may be a small village which adds to its charm but has all the ammenities you need within a short walk. Victoria and Richard are the perfect hosts and the welcome package wasmuch appreciated. Thanks
