"We stayed in one of the small houses for two nights in April 2026. We had two beautiful days/nights. The radiant floors were a standout. The house faces west, which huge picture windows to the west and north. During the first night, we happened to catch a quick showing of northern lights. "Great view, nice and very modern suite, and reasonably priced, relative to Iceland prices.
The hot tub was very nice to have, though set a bit too hot."

"Do not stay in these apartments. This review is for Apartment No 6
1) The hot water smelt of rotten eggs, which on investigation is linked to bacteria in the water tank. We had to resort to boiling the kettle to use hot water. We contacted the property 18th Feb to raise our concerns and did not get a reply. I raised a complaint with Expedia on our return and the property have refused to take any accountability for the problem. Expedia were very good dealing with the complaint though

"This place is awesome and had everything we needed. Very clean and lots of room gor a family of 4. This house is second to none in accomodations in Akureyri. We really enjoyed our stay there. "

"Really appreciated first class laundry facility. Kitchen well equipped, lovely spacious modern apartment. Only problem was the dreadful bed - no proper mattress, just a kind of soft non-supporting topper. Both of us awoke with back pain. "
