"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
Staff were so helpful and kind
Beautiful room
Breakfast was YUMMY.
But:
Four stars because at no point in our correspondence did they inform me they are CASH ONLY. This policy exceptionally rare for lodging. As a visitor and solo woman traveller, I was uncomfortable maxing out ATM withdrawals on busy, narrow streets and spending extra on transaction fees, so they can save on fees and taxes. THEN having to walk around with wads of cash. All during my limited...

"We had a beautiful stay at Riad Mabrouka. Our room was wonderful, the Hamman treatment was great, breakfasts were top notch and the dinner we had on our first night was memorable. The location was very near the parking area which was great for being dropped off by our driver. It was an easy 5 minute walk in the Medina to the Riad from the parking area that was well lit, clean and easy to navigate. The view from the top floor over Fes was amazing. I also have to complement the staff, they were...

"This riad was not ideally located for my preferences, as it felt quite far from where I wanted to spend most of my time. If you don’t mind walking through the alleyways to reach the shops within the medina, then the location may work for you. For us, however, it felt a bit inconvenient.
Upon arrival, we were taken to a room that was not the one we had reserved. We had booked a quadruple room, but instead were given two separate rooms. While this arrangement might work for some travelers, it...

"A charming and well run Riad on the outskirts of the Medina. The room was comfortable with incredible views. The location was very convenient for exploring the Medina and the staff were lovely and welcoming. The food served in their restaurant was delicious and they have the best harira soup in town! I would definitely recommend this Riad and would stay here again."

"Well located near the Blue Gate on a quiet street. And, the very friendly and welcoming staff really made for the perfect stay.
Pillows were comfortable with m clean white bed linens.
Breakfast and coffee was plentiful with flexible timing.
The hosts really went out of their way to be helpful with tour suggestions.
And I so appreciated being walked to their arranged taxi to catch my early morning flight. A wonderful stay."

"El Riad está en un pequeño callejón, en la orilla norte dentro de la Medina, así que los alrededores no son tan lindos, pero por dentro está muy arreglado y cuidado, un contraste que es muy común en todas las ciudades viejas. Nos trataron muy bien y las comidas que hicimos allí (una cena y dos desayunos) fueron excelentes. Las camas muy cómodas, la habitación bien decorada y el baño con lo necesario aunque sin una ventana de ventilación natural. Lo recomiendo mucho."

"The hotel is, really, a boutiqu hotel.
I got a large room with a seating area..but that was about it.
There is no kettle, bottled water or tea/coffee supplied ("Go to nearby coffe houses" I was told when I queried this).
The morning staff member was a lot more pleasant :)
Also, ifyou forget to hand your keys your room will not be cleaned. And, even if you do, only the towels were refreshed. I didn't not evidence of sheet refreshir even clean of desk :(
Airconditioning was good.
