"We really enjoyed our two night stay. The rental is easy to find and get into. Its a unique property with a lot of personality. The beds were comfortable and the place is well stocked. Upstairs in the loft there are 3 twin beds along with a fun vhs player and lots of old Disney movies. My kids loved that. We will plan to stay again next year. "

"This is a true gem. Old but updated cabin so you get the best of both worlds. The kids had a blast and this was awesome to have family members out for a day without houses and people right next to you. Storm came through...a bog was floating towards the island. The kids thought that was pretty cool. We will definately be back!"

"From checking in to checking out, everything went smoothly! There is plenty of room for gathering and plenty of room if you want privacy. Hosts were very responsive and helpful! We rented the pontoon and that process was easy as well! The only downside is there is no swimming off the dock or on shore-not the fault of the owners or house "

"We loved our stay, the LOTR decor was great. We really liked the hot tub and the large patio with a fire pit right outside the door. The bed was very comfortable and we would stay here again for sure!"

"It was such a nice time I would 100 percent recommend this place. It was very clean and look like the picture. It was so nice with the communication with the host, answered every question there was to ask. She was very nice to have us check in earlier, really appreciated it. "

"Our stay at this property was exceptional. We had a tornado warning with strong winds and rains. A tree went down into a neighbors property. The owners were professional and diligent cleaning it up. They communicated the issue and rectified it within hours. All our needs were met from a rental aspect. Little courtesies we’re extended like shampoo and conditioner. Every and I mean every need we could have had was met(fully furnished rooms down to nightlights were provided for, silverware to board...

"What a place, what a host! A fully stocked, lap-of-luxury cabin secluded in the woods with its own dock, and a quick drive to food and fun. Tom is the best kind of host: responsive and helpful. Will be back!"

"We were very happy with the whole place, inside and out. There is plenty of sleeping, we had 8 adults and 5 children from the ages of 2 to 15. Lots of things to do inside and outside. After staying with all the kids at quite a few cabins over the years this is one of our favorites. When I had to get in touch with the owners about a couple of things they answered in a timely manner and were very helpful."

"The owner, Paul, was friendly and truly wanted to provide the best experience he could for us. The remodeled house had a cozy cabin vibe and included a well stocked kitchen, lots of sleeping areas and bathrooms. The back patio was our favorite place to hang out with a lovely view. The fire pit attached to the porch was great to have. We loved the included pontoon and the option to bring our dog. Also, our grandson loved the swing. I have mobility issues so a few things were challenging but not...

"The lake view was perfect. We could see occasional boaters (speed, pontoon, canoe) but motors never intruded. We were visited daily by a large pelican slowly paddling by and a group of Canadian geese (4 adults, 5 goslings) on the shoreline, and a black squirrel. The cabin was furnished with many added features (TV, grilling and fire pit items, kitchen supplies, comfy beds and towels).My friend and I were celebrating her retirement and we wanted a quiet retreat to relax by the water, read, play...

"We had a great long weekend in July 2025.PROS - Kitchen is great. Air conditioning is strong in the main room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of sleeping room. Main level master is plenty spacious. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have queen bunks - queen top and bottom. Bathrooms had body wash and shampoo. Plenty of towels were available. Indoor rocking chairs were comfy, along with the sectional. "What an awesome cabin on lake Osakis! We had a group of 6 friends and had a great time. The cabin is clean and has plenty of room for everyone. Kids will LOVE staying here, there is a fun loft and they can fish right off the dock. There’s room to tie up your boat on the dock as well. The owner was very responsive and helpful with my questions. I highly recommend! "
