"I have family in the area and stayed at Newton’s Nest last year. I had such a good experience I didn’t look at any other properties when I was planning a return trip. Hosts are very responsive and accommodating, property is clean, well-appointed, and charming in a quiet neighborhood. "

"This was the perfect cabin for 4 hiking men to stay in. Everything was well done. We used all four spacious bedrooms. The table and kitchen was very good.Overall, this place is Highly recommended!!!Rustic looking from the outside but charming and well decorated from the inside"

"This is a very special cabin. It's perfect if you want to get away and have quiet time. I say "quiet", but it's not actually quiet since you have the constant, wonderful sound of waterfalls in Spillcorn Creek right next to the house.The pictures on the website don't do the house justice. "This home was the absolute perfect spot for our family of 4 to meet up with our best friends (also a family of 4). There is plenty of room, the dining table accommodates big group meals, and the view was just incredible. We enjoyed hiking in the area and would love to come back! They bring firewood and other amenities if you need. "My family and I stayed at this beautiful mountain home over the Memorial Day weekend. This location is truly magical. A hidden gem. Far enough away that you get to get away from it all and dive into nature, but close enough to be able to seek out the culture of Asheville and surrounding areas. The communication from the owners was great and informative and the house was comfy and well-appointed. We wanted to stay longer."

"We needed somewhere to unwind that we could also take our three fur babies. Couldn't have asked for a better escape! The sunrises, the sunsets, The horses right out the window. Just enough modern convenience blended in to an 1880's escape. Our fur babies loved the walks of the gravel driveway every morning and night. The horses would come over to greet us. Cuddling up to a warm fire was just the perfect touch to end each day. We plan to come back!"

"We had a great time. The cabin was pretty much exactly as described. Not too far from anything everything worked and pretty well stocked with odds n ends. Even got to meet the famous doggie! "
