La cabaña de Rockybrook Miller

La cabaña de este molinero de principios de 1800 ha sido cuidadosamente restaurada y está lista para su escapada relajante. A solo 7 millas de Main Street Abingdon, este acogedor refugio está perfectamente ubicado para la diversión familiar. Situado a pocos metros del North Fork del río Holston, tiene fácil acceso a la pesca y a Adventure Mendota, un proveedor local de tubos. Estamos a minutos de Bristol TN / VA y Bristol Motor Speedway. Los residentes del área disfrutan de caminatas, ciclismo, pesca y caza. Los favoritos locales incluyen el Barter Theatre, el Martha Washington Inn, Heartwood, The Creeper Trail (incluido el Appalachian Trail) y una maravillosa variedad de comida local. El interior de nuestra propiedad es la cabaña original del molinero construida en la década de 1820. A principios de 1900, la cabina se expandió y se agregó un exterior de tablilla. El dormitorio principal y el baño están en la planta principal. *** Tenga en cuenta que las dos habitaciones de arriba tienen escalones extremadamente empinados. Esto se suma a la singularidad de nuestra cabina, pero podría ser un problema para los visitantes con problemas de movilidad.

The home and the host were very accommodating. Regina thought of everything that could help make our stay enjoyable. We didn’t need anything, but was very responsive to our text questions. Would love to rent again in the future.

We are 3 friends who love crafting, sewing, quilting, and relaxing. This weekend was about taking time to unwind and heal from life’s demands. Abingdon was about half way between our respective hometowns. Regina is the best host! She has renovated and decorated this cabin to perfection! Plenty of space and comforts abound along with visual reminders to keep it simple. We will be back!

We could not have asked for a more comfortable or accommodating stay. It was the perfect place to ring in the new year. The personal touches of the cabin, the thoughtful items all over that made our stay stress free, were much appreciated. We didn’t have to go far to find food, shopping, or hiking. Great location. Had it been warmer I am certain my kiddos would have played in the creek. We’ll have to come back in the warmer months. We’ve already told several of our friends about this charming cabin!

She did everything she could to make sure we had an excellent stay starting off with her signature welcome gift—delicious! We unfortunately had car trouble while there and she had us connected us to all the people in town to get it worked out before we left. Thanks to her, we made the best of time we had. The beds were great. The environment was awesome… my kids wanted to explore in the backyard. Thanks for all your help!

In my search for rustic cabins, I happened upon this little piece of history. We absolutely loved the history of it having been built in 1810 as the miller’s cabin and grist mill. The owner is one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever encountered. The care that is taken for guests is above and beyond! We’ll be back!!!

We stayed at this cabin with some friends for the weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a better place. We fell in love with the cabin immediately. It was so well thought-out and homey. Regina was such a wonderful and thoughtful host, even baking a cake for us when we arrived! We can't wait to come back. :)

We just could not stop talking about how wonderful this cabin is. It's full of local history, charm, comfort and beauty. Our host was very knowledgeable about the area including great places to eat and things to do. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was stocked and location was convenient.

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful cabin and met our new grandchild and got to see our older grandsons as well as my husband’s adult kids. The cabin was perfect. Totally quaint and charming, well equipped, plenty of comfy spaces, good Internet for TV watching. We had meals on the deck and lots of visiting. The boys loved playing in the creek. We had a great bonfire. We can’t wait to come back.

We had the most amazing time at this cabin! Regina is a fantastic hostess who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. She had a personalized welcome note waiting for us along with the most incredibly tasty cake just for us! The cabin is like a museum that is warm and inviting and tells a beautiful story of history and yet extremely comfortable with everything you keed to have a wonderful stay

Regina was the absolute best host! There is ample towels, kitchen ware, and even a few toiletries incase you forgot something! She left us the BEST cake and was super helpful in answering any questions I had about the area. We had one issue, no fault of hers, and she responded quickly to assist. My kids LOVED her. She is truly a gem! If you only do one thing on this trip, rent bikes and take a shuttle up to white top and do the Creeper Trail back down to Damascus. You won’t regret it!
