  • Smithy cottage y forja son de grado 2. La forja es uno de los dos restantes en el Reino Unido en su estado original. Una pintura al óleo de la interna por H. J..Dobson está en los EE.UU., existe una fotocopia en la cabaña. La casa es muy cómoda, con una cocina de Aga que se encuentra en todo el año y proporciona un calor confortable. calefacción por suelo radiante está instalado en el pasillo que conduce desde la cocina hasta el baño, y en el baño en sí .. Las casas de corredores construido en un cubículo de la ducha y el baño bastante que es independiente, tiene una bañera de hidromasaje para dos personas. El dormitorio principal abajo tiene una reina tamaño cama con dosel y una puerta que da al jardín. La cocina tiene un ambiente encantador con unidades de grises y suelos de baldosas tradicionales. La sala de estar con TV, DVD y CD, junto con Wi-Fi, también una estufa de leña y el almacenamiento de la noche calefacción de leña. La sala de estar es una decoración tradicional y cuenta con una gran colección de libros y juegos infantiles. Encima de las escaleras hay dos dormitorios, uno con una cama doble y un aseo lavabo estilo y lavabo y el otro dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales.

    El bonito jardín se encuentra en 6 acres de terreno, y porque la casa está orientada al sur
    proporciona un lugar ideal para sentarse fuera y cenar, mientras disfruta de las vistas espectaculares .. (Mesa y sillas se proporcionan). El pueblo de Camserney ofrece algunos maravillosos paseos a las cascadas y en Farleyer a Loch. Muy cerca se encuentra la pequeña ciudad de Aberfeldy que tiene muchas atracciones para la familia ,, incluyendo un centro de ocio, destilería, el cine art deco, tiro con arco, tiendas y restaurantes. Castillo Menzies está al lado y en la dirección opuesta es Fortingall donde el tejo en el cementerio es supuestamente 3000 años de edad y donde se dice que Poncio Pilato haber nacido. Más adelante, es Glen Lyon, la navegación y la pesca pueblo de Kenmore en el río Tay .. Camserney es de unos 90 minutos de Edimburgo y Glasgow aeropuertos y un punto central de Scotland.- ideal para una exploración más profunda ..

Ein ganz gemütliches Cottage. Es war sauber und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Zu den oberen 2 Schlafzimmern gibt es sogar ein WC, damit man nachts nicht die steile Treppe runter muss. Toller Garten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Beautiful property with loads of character, quiet and nestled in a lovely setting. Our kids loved playing outside and exploring, the four poster bed felt special.

Lovely getaway

Lovely little cottage. Finding in the dark was a challenge, but once in it had everythign we needed and was in a great location. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the garden!

Nice house terrible gardens

House was excellent but description of garden and surroundings including the “spectacular views” was totally misrepresented. The garden and surroundings would be better described as an “overgrown wilderness.” The main website page showing the views of the garden and immediate surroundings are extremely misleading and bear no resemblance to the reality,

Perfect private cottage

For ourselves, this was a perfect place to get away, totally private and extremely quiet. It's about 200m up a single track lane so you have to hope nobody is coming in the opposite when arriving or leaving. The garden in front of the cottage is totally enclosed so you cannot see the lane. The cottage is not large, but is very cosy and is ideally equipped. The Aga takes a bit of getting used to but there is also a small 2 ring electric hob if you do struggle. The Jacuzzi bath is a luxury, especially after a long walk. One thing to be aware of is that at night the area is in total darkness, so unless you put a light on you cannot see anything so a middle of the night toilet visit means feeling your way around trying not to bump into anything. The nearest town of Aberfeldy about 5-10 minutes drive, has everything you require including a nice café serving coffee and cakes. If you enjoy walking there are plenty of walks in the area, including Dull Forrest which you can do from the cottage door. For a more challenging walk Schiehallion is about 20-25 minutes drive away. Will deninitely try to return again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Smithy cottage. We had very hot weather and found the cottage quite warm because we couldn’t turn the aga off-I’m sure most of the year this isn’t a problem!! It’s a perfect spot for exploring the local area, few minutes drive from Aberfeldy but in a very quiet spot. The garden was quite overgrown meaning our kids aged 9 and 4 couldn’t really explore as there were lots of nettles/thistles. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need making it a real home from home. Would happily return for another stay.

A very peaceful break

Extremely well equipped property in a beautiful location. Little tricky to locate the key safe and property itself (as no sign on gate etc). Nice change to use the AGA! Overal very relaxing stay.

Fabulous holiday

We had a wonderful time, the cottage was rustic but had all mod cons. It was very well equipped and we loved cooking with the aga. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and saw some deer come through. We did some lovely walks from the cottage including walking to Dull a few times. Scenery was beautiful. We also enjoyed white water rafting with ‘Splash’ in Aberfeldy and managed to see the beavers. We would love to go back and highly recommend the cottage for a holiday.

Cottage nicely secluded, garden nice and big, could be made better if garden was maintained better. However we spent little time in the garden as there are so many different things to do and see

Heerlijk verblijf in sfeervolle cottage

De cottage is prachtig gerenoveerd, met prima voorzieningen (zoals een jacuzzi, heerlijke opgemaakt bedden en handdoeken). Fijn dat er in de keuken veel aanwezig is, waar gebruik van kan worden gemaakt (zout, specerijen, etc.).De tuin is prachtig en fijn beschut, zodat je er al snel kunt zitten. Aberfeldy is een leuke plaats op een paar kilometer afstand. Boodschappen doen gaat prima op de fiets!~ Het inchecken ging niet helemaal goed, omdat wij de instructies niet hadden ontvangen; maar dat werd door Elizabeth (telefonisch) gelukkig snel opgelost. Kortom, een aanrader.

We stayed with our three kids and had a great time. The cottage itself is full of character and very comfortable. Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas are beautiful.
