Hotel of the past and future

Great Location right next to the surf shops, grocery store, liquor store and a bar if you are into that. Really nice staff. good selection of board games. Everything I ever want out of a hotel: clean, friendly, comfy, easy. Great price!* *not luxurious

not happy

check in was a joke. the person in charge new nothing about the reservation, could not work out a price, we almost walked out. if they did not have my information we would have walked.ended up staying next night just because we spent 12 hours on the ocean fishing and we were to tired to drive home. up at 4 out the door.NOT going back.

Economical stay that wasn't a savings

Very noisy - could hear the people below us all night. Very outdated room, shower was alarmingly forceful, beds were rock hard with bed bug covers, although we didn't experience bedbugs. Check in was extremely slow and confusing. Was looking for an economical stay but the price was still fairly high for the worn, dated state of the room.

Tuna fishing

Good for our fishing trip. Comfortable big rooms. Shower was really good and the only complaints were the lack of towels "even though I could of went and got more" and the wifi which constantly had trouble staying connected and with my t-mobile phone service I had little to no reception.

An ok experience

It was an ok experience. We stayed here because we have to catch a 6 am fishing charter. We stayed in a family room with 3 beds. It is one block away from the main supermarket in Westport . Only one or two minutes drive to the Pacific Ocean shore, and 5 mins to the harbor. The hotel manger is polite and helpful.

Great room!

The hotel and location were great! I'm only rating it a 4 because the shower was like a hard spray which detoured me from taking one. The bed was comfortable and the room was large. The price was great!

Close to Westport fishing

I stayed at this motel to go fishing and so it worked well as a place to sleepbthe night before. I was disappointed that it offered no AC or fans to cool the room.

I arrived at Ocean Avenue Inn about 4:00PM and it took me no more than a few minutes to get checked in. I opened my room door to a nice clean room with plenty of towels and face towels. I was very satisfied with how my room looked. I have told a lot of my friends about Ocean Avenue Inn.

Decent accommodation

If your looking for a nice bed and decent accommodations, in a fishing town, this will do. Just don't expect any plush extras. Very friendly management and Bennetts fish shack is highly recommended for food!

the staff was really nice. the room was nice, i was not expecting to have a 2 burner stove top and real dishes, what a nice surprise. so i booked another stay a few weekends from now for crabbing season with my family, the staff was great at getting us the best deal for a large group of us to stay without having to get an extra room. im excited to go again, eat fresh crab and play on the beach (even in the cold- we had a blast and found so many pretty agates on the beach) also, if you like cats, the north jetty has a colony of cats that gets taken care of by the locals, some are very sweet, some a little mangey looking. its nice to see the community take care of abandoned animals.

It might not have been too fancy but the room was clean and quiet and had tons of space. The grocery store was right down the block as well. I was there for a fishing trip and getting back to the marina only took about 5 minutes. I would stay there again.

Nice little place to stay.

Spent a night here for work. It's a nice little place but it's somewhat dated. Plus side...kitchenette and a decently sized fridge. Bathroom of my unit was a bit small, though. The management people were great to chat with. Would definitely stay here again in the future if the same management were there.

Great for sportsmen

The hotel was old but clean. Our hosts were very nice. This hotel is geared toward sports fishermen. They have a fish cleaning area in the parking lost away from the rooms. Even though our room was billed as non smoking it is very obvious that it had been smoked in a lot.

Well done

The rooms are accommodating. We were happy when we entered and there was a kitchenette. The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have an actual key. Not a key card. The front desk was amazing when out fishing charter got cancelled and we needed to cancel our second nights as travel plans changed.

I would go back!

The manager who checked me in and out was very nice and helpful! The room was very cute with a kitchenette. It also felt very safe. And less than a 5 minute drive to Grays Harbor.

Stayed in room apparently next to laundry room. Was pretty loud. Room layout was odd, but bed was comfortable. Tv screen was smaller than my laptop.

Nice and roomy. T.v. didn't work well. Very clean.

I came down charter fishing as most do. The room was spacious and clean . The t.v. didn't work well and the beds could be a little better, but overall a nice room, good location with nice staff. I would stay there again.

Nice Staff - Clean not AAA rated or fancy

Easy check in - very nice front desk person. Very accommodating when wanting to change our room - Our room was upstairs but I had injured my back so she changed us to bottom level room. Thank goodness it was available. This is a fishing community nothing upscale about it - clean, basics are met is what it offers don't expect soaps, shampoo or conditioner here. Close to beach, not far from central docks and shopping tourist area. Tinderbox has great coffee and the Greek restaurant has good home cooked food.
