Beautiful home on large lot with plenty of privacy and space for 4 legged friends! Kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need to cook holiday meals. Fireplace keeps you cozy on those rainy winter nights.

Home base for outdoor adventures

This home is so well outfitted and setup for our group of 9 friends to use as home base for our outdoor adventure. The three seperate fill bathrooms made the space ideal for us. We even had plenty of space outside to park our vehicles and an RV which had water and power hookup. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed for a week long stay. The fireplace was a nice cozy touch after long wet Washington days. We really enjoyed the dining area where the dining table was setup for at least 6 and the nearby bar for another three of us to break bread together and share stories before nodding of into the cozy living room furniture and eventually our wuiet comfortable rooms. We even saw several deer and elk on the property during our stay!

Great secluded serenity, and elk too!

We loved our quiet stay here with the family. So peaceful, and relaxing. A heard of elk made several visits to the property during our stay, and were so beautiful to watch in their natural setting right out the big windows! Not a bad distance to sites like Cape Disappointment and Long Beach. Thanks for a great stay!

Comfortable Remote Home

The 6 of us were very comfortable in this home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed! The beds were all comfortable. The elk and deer showed up for our viewing entertainment.

Wooded Seclusion

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and well stocked. We were even thrilled to see that there was a high chair for our toddler. We enjoyed sharing meals at the large family table and sipping coffee while staring out the bay window to the meadow. Highly recommend this property to other travelers. Thank you for hosting us on our spring break trip!

South Bend Quiet Place

Great house, great grounds and just a really great overall experience. Nice house with a great floor plan and everything you could need while you're there. Our 2 dogs loved the grounds and we're so happy we found this place for the future.

Family vacation

Overall we were very satisfy with the property and all the amenities and features that came with this place. 2 things that was a bit disappointing, pest control and housekeeping. The first night we check in, we spot over 30+ of what we assume are powderpost beetles throughout the house. We didn’t check in until 10pm at night, so we didn’t know who to contact about the issue. Instead we spent a good amount of time cleaning ourselves and making sure it’s safe for the kids to sleep. Random ones were spotted during rest of our stay. Owner should look into pest control immediately. The second is the housekeeper. He showed up in the driveway 10 minutes before checkout and sat in his car. My son took an extra couple minutes to go back inside the house to use the washroom before the long car ride home. I went over to him at 10:02, (2 minutes after checkout) to see if he still wanted us to lock up out of courtesy. Before I could even finish my sentence, he told us we were late checking out and he needed to get in there to start preparing for the next group. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. The rest of my group were shocked to heard the conversation and the attitude. With a few adjustments, this could be a nice vacation property for a big family gathering.

Not good! For the amount of money we payed I was disappointed. Miss leading information on location of this house. Too far from looking beach. TV service is awful, shower was plugged. Won’t stay again

Beautiful house, elk and deer visited. Poor internet keep pausing and couldn't have more than two of the five TV's going at a time, needs a DVD player. Needs a screened in area on the porch to protect people from the mosquitos, ice machine being out was a problem, had to drive to town for more ice, fire wood and itch spray for all the bug bites. Loved the puzzles and 2 kid games. Kids loved the little hills, we brought slip & slides.

Woodland Paradise

Absolutely loved the remote getaway that this home provided. The kids and dog loved exploring the fields and forest and observing the resident elk herd. We loved a quick afternoon hop to get oysters at the nearby store, but note that the oyster company is the ONLY nearby store. Town is 20-30 minutes away.

Beautiful Stay!

This property was just beautiful! Well built house where we instantly felt at home. The check-in and check-out process was easy and simple. Plenty of room for a large group. Being here in the off-season did limit enjoying the full property, but the house is tucked away in a quiet spot and we would certainly stay here again.

South Bend House

Overall, the house was pleasant. The pans were horrible. The knives wouldn't cut anything and the couch was mostly broken on the left side. The mosquitos were horrible and my granddaughter was bitten at least 40 times on the first day. We were unable to sit outside due to the mosquitos. The location was quiet except the doors which all squeaked like a haunted house. The first time we went to use the BBQ, it was out of propane but we called the contact and he was there to replace it within 30 minutes. It was a nice time because we were able to spend some quality time with our grandkids.

Great stay!

We had an amazing time at this property. Our 2 Jack Russels ran around and enjoyed the open space. While our stay was great, we would have liked to know the dog run area wasn’t secure. As our pups are our babies, having a clean and safe space for them when we travel is our top priority. However, that being said, we would definitely stay again and are thinking of booking this property at least twice a year. Amazing views and awesome home. GREAT STAY😊

lodge in the woods

This was a lovely place in a lovely setting. Only drawbacks were the mosquitoes 24/7, but we had brought along repellent and all was good. Host supplied wood for the fire pit and we brought along plenty of games to play. We had hoped to get some good crabbing, but couldn't find a good location. (Didn't look to see if there were suggestions in the binder.) But we bought live crab locally instead and had a wonderful feast our last day. House was well stocked with supplies. Lots of large pots and dishes. All in all, a great experience. Thank you !

Nice property wit room to explore

The house and kitchen were very nicely set up. They had too many air fresheners going in each room. Also the tv setup is a little funky. There are TVs in every room but they will only broadcast what is on the main tv. The upstairs gets very hot even with windows open. A fan would be nice to provide for that room. They provide a lot of toiletries for each bathroom and laundry soap. The kitchen is well stocked with some staples and cooking necessities. Fairwood was provided which we enjoyed. There are a lot of mosquitos but they had bug spray for us to use.

Lovely Place to relax

The property was expansive. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility very much. At night we laid on the grass and star gazed. Hummingbirds greeted us as we sat on the porch eating breakfast. The house was the perfect size for the 8 of us-4 adults 4 teens. We could all fit at the dinning room table for meals or games. There are 3 bathrooms which worked out perfect. There are lots of fun outing to enjoy around the area.

Relaxing retreat

This was a great place to gather three generations together for a family vacation. The open living room/dining room/kitchen gave us a place to gather together to watch the wildlife, prepare meals together and play games. And everyone had their own space at night to retreat. My boys (7 & 3) esp loved their attic area with bathroom - thanks for the safety rails as my 3yr old is still getting used to big beds. The outdoor space was also lovely - to drink morning coffee on the porch, and to make s'mores at the firepit at night. Check in and checkout was clear and simple, and it was easy to get a hold of someone with questions. Awesome place and would definitely book again!
