A so-so stay. My dad wanted this break to be special as part of my mum’s birthday and we found our stay to be underwhelming. Firstly, through some research it appears that this hotel is no longer a part of the main Hilton group. This wasn’t communicated to us and caused a little anxiety not knowing if the booking was still valid or not. I called a few days prior to have this confirmed and the staff member on the phone advised we only had 1 night booked instead of 2. I had to explain this wasn’t the case. When we arrived, we completed a form which again had 1 night stay on it. Had to advise that we were staying 2 nights. That felt a bit disorganised. We asked some questions to the check in staff member and went to our room. We had a little look at the facilities and there was pubic hair in the bath. This was pretty unpleasant. There was also blood on the bathroom door. The room was quite dusty, cobwebs and areas where The carpet wasn’t vacuumed. The windows also hadn’t been cleaned and there were clear outlines where someone had written on the window when there was condensation. The beds were comfortable and thankfully they were clean. The breakfast was £13.95 pp and this did not offer good value for money. The ingredients tasted low quality. Particularly the ‘fresh’ juices and baked beans. We were told the night before to pay at the register at the breakfast counter. So we went there and we were looked at like we were aliens with two heads

The suite which I ordered and paid in full through Hotels.com, was out of use on arrival and I was informed that because I did not book direct with Hilton, then they can refund any payment. I was moved to a superior room which was not the same, I did receive two free drinks vouchers after complaining.

Breakfast disappointing

Found hotel a little over priced. Bar food very good but breakfast was not so. Hot food was at best lukewarm. Porridge cold and lumpy. The staff were excellent.

Can do better for 2020

Booked a double room for son, got twin room, service at front end, Sergio was very good. We went for swim sauna just after checking in, when we got in put on tv my son mentioned there was something up with tv bottom left corner, also I dropped my glass from desk when sorting teas maid, back panel of desk was apart with nails showing. Fed this back to reception with photo as we were going out, very apologetic. We didn't get back until after 11 from meal and cinema. Noticed radiator had some dark red liquid substance on it and there was also hair in the bathroom sink. In room next to us had the floor up most of night with their drunken behaviour. Not going deny someone a good night on Hogmanay however this was carnage. I spoke to people next door to keep it quiet for my son. Ten had to call reception and I believe others had to call too as it got unbearable. Give duty manager get due she was no nonsense and told them any more of their nonsense and they were out. Couldn't sleep at all after that. Went to have a bath at @7 and the water was lukewarm at best. We did hazlehead Park run and had breakfast was bang on, I had the Scottish and my son had eggs Benedict. Muffins a bit tough but a very good dish. Swim sauna excellent as. All staff were excellent however I only ended up having about 4 hours sleep and working tomorrow. Need to speak to chambermaids and facilities in simple routine checks. I've stated loads of times at this hotel and normally excellent. Can do better for 2020

We'll be back.

Hot cookies on arrival, comfortable and friendly staff. Happily used pool with our 1year old. I did fall coming out of the ladies shower in the pool area. Staff were very helpful though.

Basic not a Hilton level hotel

Not so good no restruant open so only pub food which was very busy. Room was not worth the price, luke warm bath water, bathroom was not that clean a lot of rust around bathroom fixing. This was a higher priced room yet it was situated downstairs at the back i assume near the boiler or something as there was constant huming or buzzing all night,

Perfect place , very romantic, very small room, minimum breakfast not consistent with the hotel, all hotel services was excellent.

early pool swims

I had a good stay at Aberdeen Treetops. I especially enjoyed the early hours for the pool swim which allowed for a good start to my day.The staff were friendly and attentive. The apples at the front desk were appreciated. The area was quiet for a good night sleep. The bus 15 was great for quick access to downtown Aberdeen and for coming back to the hotel. The Gordons Museum nearby was an easy walk as was the nearby CO-OP. Highly recommend this hotel.

It was a basic stay, I got what I paid for. Everyone was pleasant, except the snooty receptionist but that may just have been her culture not to smile. Breakfast good, staff really helpful. Had t change rooms cause a dog was barking like crazy in the opposite room,they gave me an upgrade!

Newly refurbished rooms are lovely although the original windows are disgusting. Food was great on the second night. Very noisy in the corridor after midnight with guests who have no care for other guests

Terrible!

Double Tree has the bloody cheek of asking for a review when on getting there, they claimed they had not received payment from Hotel.com and weren’t particularly helpful in trying to resolve! They were happy for me to sleep on the streets of Aberdeen all the way from London.

Night to dismember 😁

Room 139 too hot, had our pooch with us, ended up relyctantly placing her in kennels. Our room was changed. Room 18 much better but tired to the point of exhaustion..

Nice hotel but don't eat in the restaurant!

Overall, we enjoyed our overnight stay and staff were friendly and helpful. However, we had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and were less than impressed. My fish dish was tasty enough though there wasn't much fish on the plate, but wife's beef rib dish can only be described as a disgusting fatty soggy mess, inedible, and when we complained, it was quite rightly removed from the bill. Friends who ate in the bar were able to choose from a much better menu and enjoyed their meal.
