"Our room had a great beach view but looked very different from the photos online. The design of the room was still clean & unique! It was unfortunately quite noisy being on the first floor and having to be woken up and listen to unhoused people yelling at each other right outside the hotel in the middle of the night. Additionally, while the area around it was fine during the daytime, it was very unclean and unsafe at night, with many unhoused people congregating around the premises. "

"Great location & clean. Quick walk to the beach and great restaurants. It’s a charming building. Only thing that bugged me was the wifi was slow and spotty and you have to pay to upgrade.. they don’t advertise that part. It was a bit frustrating for my work trip. "

"Hotel charges $40 per night for amenities which the advertise as included. (Beach supplies, etc.). Definitely not worth it. The bikes are in bad shape and you’ll wish you had paid more for a good one. "

"The Rest Haven Motel is a good motel. It's not far from the beach or the Third Street Promenade (25-30 minute walk). It was also not too loud. The rooms are a bit small, but not too small. While it is an older motel, the rooms are in good condition. I like the courtyard in the back of the motel too. It's relaxing and nice. Motel staff and management are courteous and kind. Thus, I enjoyed my stay at the Rest Haven Motel."

"We went to the hot tub at 8pm and the outdoor bar wasn’t open and there was no one outside. This was on a Friday, which was weird. There’s some restaurants on the same street you can walk to but we chose to Uber to get to something that fit our vibe. The Ritz is definitely for the mature crowd. "Great budget motel near Venice beach. Hidden from the main road. They are in the middle of renovating rooms and improving the property. Across from in n out burger. Good staff. "

"The room we had didn't overlook the beach, but, it was large, well appointed & clean😀 The pool and hot tub were both clean & in full operation. The grounds are stunning and are right on Mothers beach. The restaurant/ bar was excellent with both having indoor or outdoor seating. All of the staff from check-in to the servers and valet are top notch. We are already planning our next trip in the fall, basically just so we can stay there, at the Jamaica Bay Inn."
