"It is close to the ethnographic museum, the national museum and museum of contemporary art, and not far from the main railway station, but slightly away from the tourist aria. Because it is next to the hospital it feels part of everyday life there. The staff members are friendly and super helpful. The name of the hotel derives from the meeting place associated with Maximilian in Mexico. It is great for a lone traveller as I was."

"The staff was very friendly, and the location was great, with just a couple of minutes to walk to the bus station. The room was unfortunately not very clean. I had to wash a brown stain of my toiletseat, the trims around the toilet and showerarea had a lot of dirt, hair and old soap residue on them. The showerdoors also had old soap residue, and the floors didn't look like they had been either vaccumed or cleaned. The sheets were clean, luckily... I'm really uncomfortable with making complaints...

"If you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with character, then I highly recommend Hotel Mrak. It is well-appointed and modern with friendly, helpful staff. It's located in a small street in the old town, close to many sites and a 5 mins walk from a bus stop. If I return to Ljubljana, I'd happily stay here again. "Outstanding location in the middle of everything. Best breakfast we had ever had in Europe was included in our stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great view from our window. A perfect place to stay."

"Such a lovely place to stay. Friendly, comfortable. Great breakfast, ice cream parlour, patisserie, bar. Managed to eat in the Restaurant on the Friday(great food), as not open Saturday and Sunday so we took the bus into Ljubljana."
