"Final night before Santiago on the Camino Inglés"

"Einfaches Hotel mit schlechtem Frühstück. Als wir zum Frühstück kamen ( gegen 08:30 Uhr) waren nur wenige Gäste da. Trotzdem war das Essen bereits "abgegrast", nachgelegt wurde nichts. Das Personal (1 Herr) war ausschließlich damit beschäftigt, Geschirr und Gläser einzuräumen. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, fanden eigentlich so gut wie nichts mehr vor, außer etwas Obst und Gebäck. Die Lage des Hotels war okay, man musste nach links die Straße hinauf gehen und dann die Treppenstufen hinauf steigen...

"The property is a 2 minute walk from the Cathedral of Santiago and is located on an old street which is full of character. The reception staff are extremely friendly and happy to advise us about the city, detailing a map for us and planning a short route on a camino so that we could get a feeling for the pilgrimage. Our room was very comfortable and well cleaned everyday by friendly staff. There was ample choice at the buffet breakfast and we were made to feel at home by the welcoming breakfast...

"This hotel was, architecturally, very pleasing. Our room was bright and spacious with views over the countryside. We chose to have dinner there but we were the only guests doing so and although the food was fine it was reheated rather than freshly cooked."
