"This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. Made us feel right at home as if we had been friends a long time. The home was cozy, it does get a little cold so be prepared. The grill and fire pit was a nice touch...

"The resort community was great. It is sad to see abandoned golf resort buildings around the area. But the resort itself felt very safe. Despite no air conditioning, the combination of ocean breeze and ceiling fans were still great."

"We had an absolutely perfect stay at this sweet hale outside Volcanoes National Park. It was perfectly located right outside the park so you can be an early bird getting there first before the crowds. The place was beautiful situated in the rainforest area outside the park so you got the experience all the beauty and nature the area has to provide. "Beautifully decorated with fresh plants/flowers. Nice secluded location just a few minutes from the volcano. The owner notified us on our first morning that a new eruption had started earlier; and we were able to make it there to witness it. Loved the shower and the comfortable beds. Provided lots of vacation supplies (such as umbrellas and snorkel gear) and a well stocked food pantry."

"Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up."

"This is a cute little house perfect for a couple. It was very clean and had everything we needed. There is a washer/dryer (we didn't use since we weren't there very long), there is a fully equipped kitchen. There is a fire pit on the deck that would have been nice to use, but the weather wasn't ideal (cold/rainy most of the time)."
