Manager did a good job trying to address issues but many things out of his control. Seems that many cabins are rented out full time and property is getting over run with old cars and debris. Location is good and was easy to bike to some nice trails.

The room was nice but the air conditioner kept waking me up in the night. The noise of it would build up through out the night to a point where i wondered if it was going to blow up. It woke me up many times in the night. And the room never felt like it was cooling off. . There was also a pile of mattresses on the side of the building as well as a bunch of parts of what looked like an old playground. In the morning there was a deer outside our deck which was beautiful but he had to lay amongst the mess of old play ground parts. It looked like the restaurant was out of commission even though the website said there was a restaurant on site. The place looked like it was once a beautiful place. I am assuming there isnt enough staff anymore to keep it up. Although the room was nice and clean we were glad we were only staying one night there.

I enjoyed the quiet wooded area around the buildings. Upon arrival I was told he had one of the best rooms, so i overlooked the unswept hallway leading ot the room. Inside the room the lamp shade over the bed was hanging by a thread, the door knob to the patio door was loose, the fridge did not have a freezer that I needed to freeze ice packs for my back. When I brought this to the attention of the only staff I ever saw there, the man at the desk, he said he would fix things and the fidge did have a feeezer. I took photos and showed them to him to prove all my statements. If you want a low cost get away in nature here it is, and bring your own food or be prepared to drive back to town for your meals. The best part was that the beds were comfortable and the area was quiet.

This is not the place advertised online. There is no restaurant or swimming pool. It is a very old and worn out hotel. The gentleman that looks after the place but not able to offer what the website shows.

I was so excited to stay here, but didn't realize it's a thing of the past. Beautiful views but property is very run down. I was glad the ceiling in our room didn't fall down on us. Many renters alot of alcohol. It has potential to be great.

Walking around this property I think to myself that it must have been something, 30 years ago. What remains now is somewhat questionable, I only saw one staff member the entire time I was there. It was the gentleman at the front desk who took my reservation. The pool and hot tub area resembles something from medieval dinner theater. There are a lot of people not on vacation but rather permanent people rummaging about on the property. I did not see any horses, and I would be concerned if there was a functioning Spa. The diner appeared to be not currently in business.

Do NOT stay here. The pictures portray a lovingly cared for resort - which it was in the past. Some of the buildings are now occupied by folks down on their luck - outdoor walkways are filled with outdoor cook stoves and garbage. Stacks of old mattresses litter the grounds- no onsite dining - no onsite spa the indoor swimming pool looked like a science experiment gone wrong. Also one of the rooms reeked of stale cigarette smoke. We had prepaid for the rooms but walked away as it didn't feel like a safe place to stay with our grandchildren. We were refused any type of refund by the manager, Ken.

Stayed there years ago and it was wonderful..This time it looked run down with stacks of old mattresses near outside stairways.The grounds looked unkept. The gravel driveway in was very rough. The person doing checkin was not helpful..Bathtub drained very slow and the bathroom floor grout was dirty. Beds were excellent. Breakfast would not meet food safe standards. It was a bunch of pastry and muffins all lying mixed together uncovered and on an open surface. An open jar of jam and an open jar of peanut butter as well as a warm open tetra pack of orange juice. There was some dry cereal although I didnt see any milk. We as well as others looked and left. No coffee seen.

Will never return here unless I hear good things... Dirty, sketchy place. Would not feed comfortable leaving room without my partner. Thankfully didn't have our kids with us. Shame as it is a nice area. Gross.

Ken was very friendly when I checked in, but my room was dirty, the shower curtain had coffee stains and dirt or something on it, the one drawer had egg shell and popcorn kernels in it. I went to have the free continental breakfast there was barely anything and the croissants were moldy. When I went to check out I told Ken about my room and the croissants and he just said I do my best. Will never stay again or recommend this place…..

Die uns angebotene Wohnung war in einem katastrophalen Zustand. Kissen waren vergilbt und haben gestunken. Die Böden und Fenster waren sehr verdreckt. Der Grill stand vor Dreck und war nicht benutzbar. Wir haben das Zimmer anschließend sofort storniert, der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hat uns jedoch nicht die vollständige Zahlung erstattet, mit der Begründung, wir sollen die Differenz bei Expedia zurückverlangen. Er hat uns die Differenz auch nach nochmaliger Aufforderung nicht zurückerstattet. Expedia teilte uns daraufhin mit, dass sie diesen Differenzbetrag nicht zurückerstatten, da der komplette Betrag beim Check-in bezahlt wurde. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hat uns somit vorsätzlich getäuscht (Betrug!). Auf unsere E-Mail an das Hotel-Management haben wir bisher keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Wir können jedem nur abraten, in diesem „Resort“ (davon ist diese Unterkunft weit entfernt) einen Aufenthalt zu buchen. Expedia sollte diese Unterkunft unbedingt von seiner Seite löschen!

Room was very good - bathroom could have been better cleaned - someone's hair on floor. Large clean room nicely furnished with a great view and very quiet. Location and setting very nice but the property outside looked like a dump - old mattresses and appliances everywhere and overflowing dumpsters. Diner was closed so no option for a meal. On the whole nice stay and reasonable rate.

The pool is closed as well as every other service listed on this site. Owner was rude and I called him out on his lies. No breakfats as listed. He entered my unit without knocking, as well. My partner and were non clothed at the time.
