"We spent 2 nights at the Plaza Hotel on our trip to Munich. Location was very good. Rooms were clean, staff were excellent and spoke English, breakfast was very tasty and location was convenient for walking to Dachau camp. Only item that kept it from being 5 stars across the board was carpets needed replacing. Certainly not a deal breaker!"

The U3, tram 20, and some buses terminate next to the hotel so it is very easy to get in and around the city, and the S1 train stops there and runs between the city and the airport so it is also incredibly easy to get to and from the airport. "The staff were super-helpful. I saw the note on Expedia that the reception is only open till 8pm but my flight would arrived around 8pm, so I emailed the hotel and they were super helpful. They re-assured me that I would be able to check-in even without anyone at the reception. I did double check on the day of arrival and they even went through the online check-in process with me over the phone.
