The Zhovkiv synagogue was part of the fortifications of the city. Now it is in a dilapidated state, mothballed. The walls, the unique decor of the attic and portals, partially the roof, have been preserved.

The staff was superb; extremely friendly and helpful. Hardworking troopers during hard times, considering that most have family members fighting in the war. Under different circumstances, I would have stayed longer. I am sure this area will be overrun with tourists, once Ukraine wins!
