Very nice and modern house with a great view onto olive trees and the bay
We (2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 little dog) rented this house in late July 2019. The house was basically brand-new and just came on the market to be rented out to tourists, so everything inside was new and fresh and immaculate. The house is quite small (as mentioned in the description), so it is a bit "tight" for four persons, I would say. In the summer, when it is hot and you are anyway somewhat outside, it is okay because you can also sit on the terrace. In other seasons, the house might be more suitable for two people, though. We let our teenage kids sleep in the double bed in the upper floor and we slept downstairs on the couch, which was quite comfortable. Still, with our luggage, the place was quite cramped and full because you always need some space to put your things. So, this is something to consider when booking this place. The terrace with the table and the chairs is great, so we were eating breakfast or dinner outside, next to the pool. The pool itself is also nice - it is too small to swim, of course, it is more a whirlpool to hang out and relax, but that is also very nice. When we arrived at the location, we were first a bit disappointed because we expected - based on the pictures - that the house would be even more secluded and located in the middle of an olive grove. The pictures are authentic but only show the view onto the bay. Towards the opposite direction, there is a neighbored house close by, like 20m off, and it's a relatively big house with three floors and balconies, so you don't feel so "private" anymore as the pictures suggested. Another disappointment was that the house has no washing machine. But then, the landlords have been super-friendly and super-helpful and washed our laundry three times during our stay, so that totally compensated for the fact that there was no washing machine. We also got some vegetables and some home-made red wine to taste, which was very nice and lovely. The main road is also relatively close by (maybe 30m direct line), so that means that you hear some traffic during the day, but not during the night. The house is, otherwise, in a very central location of Zakynthos and allows to reach all locations easily. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend it. It would be great if there was a bit more space, also in the kitchen, and a few more possibilities to put your stuff, but in the end that was of minor importance.
