"This was potentially the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I've never stayed in a room with such poor sound proofing before and sleeping was miserable. You could hear EVERY time someone opened their door. It didn't help that the bar had karaoke playing super loudly too on Friday and Saturday night. You could hear everything. The guy working at the front desk was lovely but there's only so much you can do to block the noise. It was hard to fall asleep before 1am and I was woken up both mornings...

"The room was very worn, but the worst was the shower, which was essentially unusable due to stains of an unknown origin. Through no fault of the owners, the city as a whole is not a safe place to visit, particularly in the area where the property is located. We had someone clearly under the influence of some sort of substance repeatedly try to enter our room, and would not leave until police were involved. "The self check-in was more complicated than expected, but the staff did assist (via telephone) and everything worked out. Room was clean and comfortable, though a loud mechanical sound below our room (laundry maybe?) occurred in/around bedtime and began again in the early morning. Conveniently located!"

"Great location on the lake with great views, especially at sunrise. Couldn't try the sauna/whirlpool as a local kids' party had taken over the Inn (common areas on 2nd floor and the entire whirlpool enclosure), which was very disappointing. (As were all the Moms walking barefoot throughout the lobby/property and then stepping into the hot tub). Rooms were decent, good size, comfrotable beds and linens - good value for the price here. "

"The Riverside Inn was great and excellent value. It is very much a help yourself sort of place as the reception wasn’t manned when we arrived, but the staff in the pub had been given our room key, which was good. The room is comfortable and equipped with coffee making things. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We ate in the pub and the food was very tasty and the pub staff super friendly and helpful. For a budget priced stay we thought it was great value and would stay again!"
