  • Hermosa vista desde mega cubierta, cabina retro con capacidad para 8 personas, pozo de fuego, escalones para correr arroyo lleno de pozas, hermosos senderos de montaña a las afueras de su puerta. El lago Isabella, el río Kern, la estación de esquí de Alta Vista y los baños minerales Remington, todo en 7 minutos, se relajan en soledad en una propiedad de 1/2 acre rodeada de tierras gubernamentales. Estufa de leña, calefacción y aire tradicionales; ¡todo para que su estadía sea cómoda y divertida!

    El espacio:
    Hermoso refugio de montaña rodeado de desierto. Excelente lugar para relajarse, respirar y disfrutar o tener aventuras al aire libre a través de rutas de senderismo, juegos acuáticos en el lago o el río Kern, ¡visite el sendero de 100 Gigantes, rafting, pesca y esquí de nieve en Alta Vista! Lindo cine retro en la ciudad o restaurantes y entretenimiento en Kernville, hogar de la mundialmente famosa cervecería Kernville. Linda cabina adicional que tiene capacidad para dos como espacio adicional para los niños o adultos aventureros.

    Acceso de invitado:
    Tiene acceso a toda la casa, que incluye 1. 5 baños, cocina con microondas y otras comodidades. Además, wifi y netflix, hulu y amazon prime, así como una gran plataforma que debe verse para ser apreciada. Puedes relajarte en la terraza y saludar a los ciervos, pájaros y ardillas o sentarte junto a la estufa de leña para fogatas en el interior y una hermosa fogata de piedra para divertirte al aire libre. Hay tanto para explorar solo en la propiedad, pero también rodeado de tierras gubernamentales llenas de arroyos, árboles, senderos y montañas interminables.

For my wife and I this property was perfect. We loved the location. The location is safe, quiet and tranquil. The bed was comfortable, and we each had a great night's rest after exploring the Kernville area. Everything was great!

Great views

Relaxing. Great patio view of the mountainside. Home was very neat and clean. Owner quickly responded to any issues. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a small mobile home at the end of a quiet street on a big lot. All the basic comforts are there along with a few nice extras such as a wood stove, wifi, and Netflix. It's very close to Alta Sierra Ski resort and worked out perfect for our ski trip.

The perfect private getaway!

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for—remote, private, and peaceful. It had all the essentials to make us feel right at home, and the amazing views added to the experience. My favorite part was the bonfire, which made the evenings extra special. Shirley was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our questions, making everything so smooth. We’re already looking forward to coming back someday!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! We loved the space, especially the big deck for stargazing and the creek for splashing around. There was AC throughout the house which made the hot days easy. This place is a total gem and only 12 minutes from town and the river! The only thing we would change for our next visit is that we would bring an extra air mattress as some of the fold out couches weren’t super comfortable. We are so glad we were able to stay here and we cannot wait until our next visit!

Nice place, reasonable price, lots of amenities. The only complaint is that the WI FI was terrible. You had to hunt for the code and once i connected still couldn't connecr to the internet.

Go in the spring

We were not familiar with the area or even California weather. Was looking forward to the streams and swimming holes. Everything dries up in the summer! Our bad.😮 As far as the accomodations, it all depends on what you are used to. If you stay at less than Hotel 6, you'll be fine, but if your used to a Hampton Inn or better, look elsewhere. It is an old trailer that they fixed up. It just needs some work done on it which they said they were going to do. Had a great talk with Sharon? Not sure who I talked with. Very sympathetic to our misunderstanding.

Not what I expected

First I would like to say that is is an older manufactured home. It could use some TLC, some updates/repairs & an exterminator. Bedding & location were nice. We’re going back to the area in October…I will not choose this place again.

Great getaway!

Even though our stay there was short we loved it! Highlights was the fireplace, fire pit outside, the swing, horse shoes game, and access to the creek:) Would definitely stay again!

Summer retreat

Basic camp, good location overlooking town to enjoy Lake Isabella and Kern River, owner very attentive to maintenance. Deck and backyard are lovely hang out spots for small group.

ANOTHER WONDERFUL VACATION HERE

We have stayed here 4 - 5 times now, and it's always a great time. The house was clean, and all our needs were met. We enjoy coming here each year and relaxing away from LA. Our favorite part is the back deck, where we enjoy coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine in the evening after a busy day of adventure. Thanks again Sharon!

Awesome hub for outdoor activities!

We came to enjoy the lake, Sierras, and rafting...this was the perfect location for that.

The Shirley Creek Retreat was definitely a treat 😊

We really had a good time and it was a good getaway , we cooked dinner the three nights we stayed on the fire pit grill , tossed a few horse shoes as well , over all it was wonderful for us and will probably do it again

Exceeded expectations

We came into this trip just looking for a a quiet place to get out of the city for a while, but it turned into an amazing experience and we ended up having the time of our lives. There is so much to do in the area, so many characters to meet, and such a relaxing ambience on the property. The house may not resemble a 5 star hotel, but it is a million times nicer than what we were expecting for the price. Comfy bed, nice kitchen, and breathtaking views. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful anniversary trip

We want to thank Sharon for letting us rent out this beautiful cabin. My boyfriend and I came up there for our anniversary and we loved every bit of the trip. The cabin made us feel at home. We loved the fact that the outside was close to a little lake with a great view, so we took pictures and had a couple drinks enjoying every moment. Thank you again Sharon, we will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway for My Birthday in the Middle of a Pandemic

We always try to go up to the mountains for my birthday and we found this gem. It's such a quiet and private that we really enjoyed ourselves tremendously! All you hear are the creek, birds and the scuffling of squirrels around. We LOVE firepits and they had 2 to choose from! We cooked every meal for the 2-3 days we were there to avoid contact with other people and they have EVERYTHING you need. This place is FANTASTIC! The only comment we have is maybe slight upgrade to the place but it's definitely not a deal-breaker and we will be coming back! Thank you so much, Sharon!
