Take a steam train from Bowness to Lakeside, taking in the splendid scenery as you go. Plan an afternoon in Ambleside, 5 miles away, with its independent shops, or to the National Trust's Fell Foot, with its gentle strolls and beauty spots for paddling and picnicking.

Enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is filled with sunshine thanks to its bay window and offers comfortable space to unwind after your busy days.
