The perfect place to gather in the Alaskan wilderness for a family reunion or large group retreat of up to 20 people. In four newly built and stylish buildings there are a total of seven bedrooms, ten beds (plus an air mattress), and four bathrooms. You`ll have easy access to an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities right outside your doorstep.
The Lodge holds ten people, the Cabin holds six people, and the Aurora Yurt and Borealis Yurt each hold two people and include the use of the heated bathhouse with shower, toilet, and washer and dryer. Each of the four spaces have a deck, a grill, and a wood stove.
From the property, you`re minutes away from world-class fishing at Sheep Creek, Goose Creek, Montana Creek, and the Kashwitna River. We can recommend excellent fishing guides if needed. Explore local ATV trails or venture into millions of acres of public lands for winter snow machining, with direct access from the property. Snow machine rental and delivery can be arranged, or you can bring your own. The local dog mushing community maintains many miles of multi-use trails in winter, perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Other activities include dog sled tours, flightseeing, river rafting, and hiking. Sojourn Lodge also serves as a great base for trips to Hatcher Pass, Talkeetna, or even Denali National Park. Nearby dining includes Sheep Creek Lodge and the Denali Brewing and Tasting Room.

Enter Sojourn Lodge through the arctic entry into an open-concept living space with large prow windows and a fully equipped kitchen.
The lodge has three bedrooms: a loft bedroom with a king bed, queen sofa bed, and twin sofa bed; and two downstairs bedrooms—one with a queen bed and twin sofa bed, and the other with a queen bed. Two full bathrooms, one in the loft and one downstairs, ensure comfort for all guests. A separate laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for your convenience.
The living room features a cozy wood stove, a large seating area for gathering, and a smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. Large windows brighten the room and offer views for bird watching in summer and stargazing in winter. Step out onto the deck to relax and take in the serene surroundings. You can cook something on the grill, or sit by the gas fire pit. You might even see the northern lights, a passing moose, or local dog teams training below.

Sojourn Cabin has an upstairs loft bedroom where you`ll find a king sized bed with bedside lamps and changing ports. Downstairs, you`ll find another small bedroom beyond the kitchen with a queen sized bed, blackout curtains, bedside lamps, and charging ports. The space is ideal for four people, but can hold up to six people using an air mattress, which you`ll find in the bedroom closet.
You`ll enter Sojourn Cabin through an arctic entry, and into the main open concept living space with prow windows. Immediately to your right, you`ll find the kitchen and beyond that the living room with a wood stove at its center. You`ll find a two different seating areas, a smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, and a variety of Alaskan themed books. The windows make the living room feel bright and spacious, and offer the opportunity for bird watching in the summer, and star gazing in the winter. You can also enter the deck from the living room, where you can sit and relax. Occasionally, you may be lucky enough to see the northern lights out the window, a moose sighting, or one of the local dog teams training down below.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stove with hood range, microwave, and dishwasher. A coffee station is available with local coffee roasted by Farm Loop Coffee, and local tea by Felicity Loft. You`ll also find all the cookware you`ll need, as well as olive oil and spices. You`ll have enough space for up to six to dine around the kitchen island.
Beside the bedroom you`ll find the bathroom, with a shower, a tub, and lotion that is locally made by Grey Fox. You`ll also find a full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room.

When you walk into one of the yurts, you`ll see a comfy queen bed with charging ports, Alaskan themed books, and bedside lights. On cool nights, you can choose between lighting a fire on the Blaze King Woodstove, using the space heater, or getting cozy with the electric blanket you`ll find in a basket by the stairs.
The yurt is dry, meaning there is no running water. You`ll have a water container that can be filled from the well outside, and a grey water bucket below. You`ll also have a fully functional kitchenette, including small sink, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a keurig coffee maker, a french press, a coffee grinder, an electric cooktop, a toaster, spices for cooking, as well as bowls, plates, and utensils. You`ll be provided with a locally roasted coffee from Farm Loop Coffee, local tea from Felicity loft, and lotion made locally by Grey Fox.
There is a small table for dining, as well as a chess board, a deck of cards, and a pair of binoculars for watching birds from the large deck.
The Bathhouse:
Just next door to the yurts is a heated bathhouse with a toilet, a shower, and a washer and dryer. This space is shared with your neighbors in the other yurt.

Sojourn Lodgings is located in the Caswell area of Alaska off mile 88 of the Parks Highway, between Willow and Talkeetna. The area is known for its amazing hunting and fishing opportunities. The cabin is about four miles off of the highway in an area that is popular with dog mushers. You`ll likely hear the howling and singing of the dogs during your stay.
A vehicle will be required to get around.
Sojourn Lodgings is generally easily accessible. Occasionally during certain times of year (November - April) AWD may be helpful. Access during breakup and the muddy season, or after heavy snow fall can sometimes be more difficult.
