Appalling

The light didn't work and she tried to give me an excuse on why not to fix it. The beds weren't even beds they were cots. And when I tried to discuss my disappointment she changed the subject about how the had gotten rid of wooded bed frames for metal ones because the hotel across the street had bed bugs. The walls were filthy and there were ants in the bathroom. The fridge barely worked. I stayed with two other people in this room that you could barely walk in. The photos don't do justice. The hot tub wasn't warm it only made bubbles. The parking wasn't bad and it was a short walk to the boardwalk so it was convenient. But for the price I paid for this motel wasn't worth it.

Total Nightmare

Because we booked through Expedia and got a lower rate, we were put in a shoe box of a room. The pictures on the web site are old. This place looks nothing like the description in the pictures. It's a dump! And needs lots of upgrades. The beds are metal cots with flat wire mattresses that dig into your back. You wake up in pain.They don't provide cleaning service at all. Even when you ask the staff, they tell you yes and never come. The air conditioning system was piped into the exhaust fan in the bathroom causing extreme heat in the bathroom. At all times I was hot and sweaty while using this room. Then the air conditioner shut down, now the owner had to do something to help us we consistently raised our unhappiness about all the issues at hand. The owner was very good at turning things around in her favor, so she didn't have to address any of your concerns. But when we had no air she couldn't ignore us anymore. She had us move all of our things to another room. Only to come knocking at the door and telling us to move back to the hot shoe box of a room. The owner told us the air conditioning was working again. We moved back and the room was still hot and very uncomfortable, we remained in that miserable motel under duress. When you check in there are signs that state that you will not be refunded any of your money. If you go to this Motel even after reading my review, look at the room that you've booked before you give this lady any of your currency. Stay at your own risk!

Nice, clean, great owner and close to beach.

My family and I stayed here for a weekend trip to the beach. We could literally walk two blocks to the beach and it was close to everything. The owner was very welcoming and assisted in helping us go to a great restaurant for dinner. She was so friendly and runs a good place! The pool was great my kids had a blast and the rooms were a good size for the price and came with dishes and fresh towels. Very clean! We will surely come back again. Only thing was th beds were very stiff and my back hurt a bit but hey it was worth it!

Avoid At All Costs!!

Upon arrival we walked into a small dingy room with a table that read "ring doorbell for service". Above the door read a sign "do not p*** off the blonde" very classy.... we were then greeted by Kathleen the owner who told us our room was ready and gave us the key. As we walked into the room we opened the door and the guests before us still had their luggage inside! We alerted the maids who couldn't understand us and contacted Kathleen. The room was absolutely disgusting! The walls were Black from all the dirt! Flys and ants everywhere, gross floors and beds, and an air conditioner that was falling out of the wall with gaps in between it, so insects could get in! I can only imagine the bedbugs in that room! We heard a knock on the door later that evening and there was Kathleen screaming profanity and busting down the door yelling at us to leave because of a noise complaint. Not even a warning. Not to mention there were children outside as she is screaming like a classless individual. Thank god we left to avoid any possible bed bug bites! I have never seen such a disgrace of an establishment in my life. Please do yourselves a favor and turn the other way! This hotel should be shutdown!

Avoid at all costs.

I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime thus far, and this place is by far the worst I have ever had the unfortunate experience of staying in. To start, the owner is an awful, unprofessional woman who switched us to three different rooms before putting us in our designated room upon check-in. This "mix-up" according to her was because it was United Nations week and all of our ethnic names are confusing. Next, no housekeeping was done throughtout our stay. At 8 pm, unannounced, all water is shut off so that the nasty owner can fill up the pool with water. I found this out mid shower, covered in soap. Finally, the owner cursed me out and borderline harrassed me on two separate occasions. The first, she thought that i was the source of a noise complaint, and she threatened to kick me out while neighbors repeatedely told her it wasn't me. She attempted to enter my room with my possesions still inside but retreated when she realized that she was wrong. Second, she chased my car down after I had already checked out because i left garbage IN THE GARBAGE CAN and needed to pay an extra $50 cleaning fee. I can not begin to explain to you how awful this experience was. Please spend your money elsewhere.

Hotel needs some work. pool OK

I was expecting a little better.needs to upgrade bedding, also towels to old and needs places to hang things in room. Fresh paint would help a lot. Floors in bathroom needs work

It is Wildwood.....don't expect much

Place was clean but not as hotels.com advertised. It was supposed to be a 1 bedroom unit but it was a single room and was beyond tiny. The pool was nice and it is walking distance to everything. The woman who checled us in was great and friendly.

Great place

The motel is walking distance to the boardwalk. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room we had was excellent and clean. They have a parking lot close by since the lot on site is small. Would definitely stay here again

Nice Hotel close to beach and boardwalk

Good experience. Manager is awesome. Room very clean. Too small for us but that is on us for next time. Couldn't be more pleased on this stay.

Nice little old school motel near the beach

We booked the rooms to attend our first "The Race of Gentlemen" event. Kathleen was great to deal with and very accommodating. Sure it's not a 5 Star palace but if you want the whole "Wildwood" experience, it is the perfect place to stay

Cute friendly motel

My daughter my fiance and myself came to twilight motel for 5 nights for our family vacation. From the moment we arrived it was a great trip. We got out of the car and the first person to greet us was the owner Kathleen, she had us checked in within three minutes. She made conversation with us and is very personable. We got to our room to start unpacking, it was very clean and a perfect size for the three of us. We got a room with a kitchenette so we didnt have to eat out the whole time we were there. It had pots and pans and silverware and plates and Bowls, everything you need. And the fridge is full size so that's a plus. Everyday Kathleen would ask us if we needed anything and was always quick to get it if we did. She even went out of her way to let me use her computer to fill out something I needed done back home. I recommend staying at this motel.
