Tom’s Cottage in Rosmoney, County Mayo sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.

The living space includes a kitchen housing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, whilst the living room houses a TV, dining table and woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a family room with double and single bed, along with a double serviced by a shower room. To the outside is a lawned garden with furniture and off-road parking for three cars. Fuel, power, WiFi, bed linen and towels are included in rent. This property is does not accept pets or smoking. Within 5 miles there is a shop and within 5.2 miles, a pub. Tom’s Cottage is a wonderful abode, whatever time of year.

Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine. TV with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel and power inc in rent. Bed linen inc in rent. Please be aware this property does not supply towels so you will need to bring your own. Off-road parking for 3 cars. Lawned garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 5 miles, pub 5.2 miles. Note: Driveway is shared with local farmer

Region: The West of Ireland conjures up many images; thatched, whitewashed cottages, a flock of sheep on a narrow road, an emerald green field with a stone wall, or the Atlantic waves crashing into towering cliffs and rocky shores.

Town: The well-known town of Westport has a large selection of stores, eateries, pubs, and bars. It also has a vibrant traditional music scene and a strong Irish heritage. The Erriff River, which is about three miles away, the Delphi River, which is about six miles away in the Doolough Valley, and Moher Lake, which is four miles away, are all easily accessible and have fantastic fishing. For those who prefer a good stroll, Croagh Patrick Mountain is close by and offers energising walks and breathtaking views. Locally, there are also designated mountain and forest trails, such as the Tawnyard and Western Way. Why not take a spectacular day trip to County Galway, located a short drive away and boasting stunning coastal scenery and the famed Connemara National Park?

Cabin is adorable and location is beautiful. However, the owner says the heat goes on in “am and pm” which is a stretch. The heat goes on for about an hour in the evening and in the morning. The cabin is the sane temperature as the outside. It was 9 degrees centigrade and the little coal stove could not warm the bedrooms, kitchen or bathroom. We had to check out early and find a hotel because our kids were freezing. I tried to contact the owner when we arrived but did not answer the phone. Just want to warn other families so they won’t have the same experience we did. I am sure it would be great in the summer months.
