"Great staff, easy check in, breakfast is daily from 7:30 to 10:30. Highey recommend. Bus stops very close by for those who don't have a rental car. Bus 130 takes you straight into central Dublin! Perfect experience all around for Clontarf Castle and the staff"

"My 20 year old son and I stayed for 3 nights in February 2026 and had a wonderful time. We arrived before 5 am (on a bank holiday, which we didn't know about since we don't celebrate 2/2 like that in the US) and the gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful. They stored our luggage since check was at 4 pm and then helped us locate a car park. Many were closed due to the holiday. (Note: We left our car at Grafton Car Park for 3 days and ended up paying a fortune! On the Expedia listing it says...

"It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave."

"We stayed at The Lucan Spa two different days during our trip as we were driving through Ireland and it was not too far from the airport. I can’t say enough about the staff - we arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage there with no problem. I injured myself and they were genuinely concerned and extremely helpful. "The hotel itself is fabulous. Front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. My experience in the bar/restaurant was not a good experience. I was travelling solo and was treated like a nuisance because I was dining alone. I was very happy to sit at the bar while I waited for a table but 2 couples and a single were given tables before me. "Perfect for what I needed"

"A nice hotel with clean rooms, easy check-in and check-out, with free parking for hotel guests in a car park connected to the hotel for easy access. The staff was friendly but did have a standoff-ish vibe that make it uncomfortable when I was asking for recommendations as they only seemed to have pushed their hotel's restaurant when asking for local pubs nearby.
